This agency has been eh. Not too impressed. It's our first time receiving care in our home. Our nurse lasted about a month. Long story short my child had an event which caused me to bag and lightly stimulate him to bring him back to breathing normally. The nurse stated to the agency she did CPR... which per Dr order they only wanted to see my child because they thought it was actual compression and they wanted to make sure nothing was fractured. His medical provider stated to me he needed to be seen 24 - 48 hrs after the event. Ok great we can do that because since my child is medically complex last thing we need is to rush to the ER since he was fine. Our household and the nurse makayla proceeded to monitor throughout the day. Welp next morning a few mins before her shift we get told she won't be coming back? Umm according to them it's because she didn't feel comfortable that we didn't follow dr orders? At no point did she advocate for my child. We literally went through the steps seattle childrens hospital has taught us. Honestly glad we dodged a bullet and the nurse didn't come back because after her not reacting to the emergency and her lying she did CPR gave me a bad taste to my mouth. Also after further speaking to Allison she stated she wanted to give full transparency.. but honestly they never even called me back to get my side of the story. This place is scetchy idk how to feel. Will update accordingly.
This is a company that will absolutely tell you all the right things & ensure to give you that peace of mind. Once apon a time a nurse was assigned to our then 7month old boy who is trached. Now, our little boy loves smiling & being outside & just the center of attention. He's had a nurse for about a month until something happened that was unfortunate but Ole momma bear was there to save the day, however this event lost our nurse & getting dropped from the agency all together. One day our lil boy had a pt/ot session, then a bath with his nurse, then trach with mom & the nurse with no nap in between. Just before trach care was about to be completed he turned grey/blue without his nurse saying anything (this is where the story takes a turn) ..once back on his back mom saw it immediately & started to stim him & get him breathing again, you're probably wondering what was the nurse doing. The nurse had the audacity to ask what to do next, a trainer nurse didn't know to grab the ambu bag, turn on the oxygen tank, dial 911, & to get the car ready. My wife had to tell her to do all that. Anywho, once our son came back he then took a nappy nap & was fine. Maxin completely failed to mention that an ER visit is mandatory after an event. Also, they told us that his nurse was relieved of our sons care with an hour notice the next day. Come to find our that the nurse stated that she conduct all the necessary steps lol ...oh if the agency only knew. & now the higher ups decided to drop our sons care completely, for what you might ask ...I wish I knew. Our son is a beautiful smiling little boy who just needed a nurse, our family needed a nurse, maxim ensured us that they had that. Now that what happened is known, I hope no other family gets put in this position & actually gets a nurse that won't chicken out & does their job they were trained & paid to do instead of lying about it thus putting a family in a stressful position. Can we do 0 stars?
I called Maxim Healthcare Services in Tacoma for assistance, and the experience was incredibly unprofessional. The staff was rude, dismissive, and to make matters worse, they hung up on me. This is unacceptable behavior for any business, …
