Sign in to reviewI come here often for pickup orders. But since I went on Pi-day. I decided to dine-in. Sat at the counter where the bartender was staying busy, but still greeted me and kept up with everything going on in the restaurant. I ordered the new pizza rolls, a spinach salad, and the St. Patrick's Day Luck Buzz drink. The drink was pretty good as the pineapple and melon mix pretty well. Not mega strong, but still had some strength to it. The salad was pretty good for something with not many ingredients. All you need is something simple and sweet like the apples, almonds, raisins to blend with cheese, and it backs the spinach up in something pretty healthy for you. The new pizza rolls are an awesome alternative to getting a whole pizza. I dont over eat. But still get enough pizza goodness out of them. They are large and full of cheese and pepperoni if you get the pepperoni. The dipping sauce choices are pretty good and I recommend all of them. I appreciate all that you guys do to not only make good food. But the staff helping customers as well as making them feel welcome.
I’ve passed by this place so many times and finally decided to stop in today I’m glad I did! The building itself is incredibly cool, and the atmosphere inside is exactly what I was hoping for. We tried the Margherita pizza, and it was delicious. The service really made the experience, though. Our waitress, Reagan, was awesome very nice, funny, and made sure we had a great time. Between the unique decor and the top tier service, this was a fantastic find. I’ll definitely be back
I came to eat here earlier today with my partner, when we first got there everything was good and we ordered food and the waitress was kind to us, as we finished eating she had brought a receipt and told us to pay but then walked away. We weren’t sure if we should pay up front or there so we tried to ask another waitress but she walked past us, so we walked to the podium to look for someone to help us, i had asked one waitress and she pointed her finger at my face and said “no, hold on” and walked away, then i asked another girl and she went and got the waitress who sat us. So we asked her if we could pay upfront because no one was there to attend us at our table for a while and she said yes so she took our card and gave it back and we left. Shortly after that the same waitress came out and spoke to me in a furious tone questioning me and demanding a tip, a tip is nice although it’s not a requirement and i spoke to her respectfully i did not return the same negative energy and i explained why i hadn’t left a tip which was a reasonable response and she was upset about that and asked why i didn’t give her a tip with the card, the card was my partners i felt out of line taking money from their card and it was our first time there we didn’t know how it worked so that’s why we tried to ask. It’s very out of line for a grown woman to approach a teenage girl and starting issues while on shift and going out of her way to approach us outside of the restaurant after we already left and starting conflict. It was unnecessary, i can see why she was upset about the tip but it’s not an obligation nor is it fair that she approached us that way pressuring me to do that. I had my own personal reasons for not being able to tip which i had explained to her but she was very ignorant about the situation and kept being argumentative. Later that day we called to let the manager know about our situation and found out she accused us of trying to leave without paying when really, none of the waitresses attended us at all. Although she attacked me first i remained calm, and its sad that an employee can’t keep their composure in their workspace and go out of their way to do this, Even after contacting the manager they seemed to defend the employee so im not sure why she felt the need to do that but it’s disrespectful. I avoided conflict because she was already hostile and it was unnecessary for this to get out of hand. I don’t recommend coming here i hope the manager does something about this waitress, i never got her name but she has round glasses and dark hair and a bigger frame of body. And im sure she knows who she is.
One of the highlights was the service from a young Asian young lady; she was dope, quick, smooth, and clearly knew what she was doing. That kind of efficiency stands out. The pizza was really good definitely the best part of the meal. However, the food quality on other items needs attention. I ordered a Caesar salad and received romaine that was visibly brown and not fresh, and the dressing didn’t make up for it. We chose to sit on the patio since the weather was beautiful, which I didn’t mind but there were a few flies. Some type of insect control (like zappers or fans) would really improve that experience. The host was kind, but there was a noticeable service issue with table timing cleaning tables right as guests are being seated isn’t a great look and disrupts the flow. Overall, for a first visit, it was okay. There’s potential here, especially with the pizza and strong staff members, but a few quality and service details need tightening up.
Probably my 15th visit to Mellow Mushroom in Fort Worth. Have always visited this store mid afternoon with awesome service and food orders. Tonight I brought my family in around 6:30pm. Restaurant wasn't too busy, only half or less of the seats were filled. Was seated at a booth and waited....... and waited..... waitress walked by 4 plus times but wouldn't make eye contact. Finally another waiter came by to take our drink order, then waited..... and waited.... when the drinks arrive IE - pitcher of beer and an Ice tea, minus a third beer glass. Beer glass arrived 5 minutes later. We then place our food order for a couple of pizzas and a large salad. Pizzas arrived but never saw our salad order. Finished our pizzas and waited.... and waited..... was asked if we wanted another pitcher of beer....... too late, we were done...... Not sure if this is normal for an evening visit but I was not impressed at all. Highly disappointed with our service tonight vs our usual afternoon service. Hopefully a manager or owner reads this review and takes action quickly.
