I am extremely disappointed and upset with the level of care and hospitality we experienced at Methodist Hospital in Richardson. While my mother was there and going through an extremely difficult situation, she was very thirsty after having blood drawn and while we were waiting for her results. I asked the nurses for water, and it felt like we were left waiting for approximately 30 minutes. For about 10 minutes during that time, I could see several nurses standing together in a corner talking while my mother was still waiting and uncomfortable. What made this experience even more upsetting was that my mother was seriously ill, and as her family, we were already scared and overwhelmed. In a situation like that, you expect the hospital staff to be attentive, compassionate, and willing to help with even the simplest needs. Instead, the lack of urgency and attention made me extremely uncomfortable and disappointed. I understand that hospitals are busy and that nurses have many responsibilities, but that does not excuse making a patient and their family feel like they are being ignored. When someone is sick and vulnerable, basic compassion and communication matter. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this hospital. I sincerely hope hospital management looks into how patients and families are being treated because no family should have to feel helpless and ignored while watching their loved one suffer.

I can’t recommend this hospital enough!! I just delivered my second baby here and I never want to go anywhere else for care. Dr.Downey and Dr. drake were incredible and my nurse Katie was so amazing too!! Everyone took such good care of us and anything I needed or asked for was always accommodated. If you are looking for a place to give birth I highly recommend this hospital!! And Methodist women’s health specialist for Ob! It also doesn’t give off creepy, sterile typical hospital vibes. Our post partum care room even had warm lighting if that matters to anyone lol.

Review for Dr. Maxwell and Catalyst Medical Team While this review does not reflect on Dr. Maxwell personally, I feel it is important to share my family’s recent experiences with his nurse, Sharon Rowell, following our move to the new Catalyst location adjacent to Methodist Richardson Hospital. Dr. Maxwell is an outstanding physician who has provided exceptional care for my family. He is truly a superior doctor who has literally saved my life, and I remain grateful for his expertise and dedication. Unfortunately, our interactions with Nurse Sharon Rowell since the relocation have been consistently disappointing. My first encounter with her revealed a lack of warmth and professionalism. She has been rude and short-tempered, often becoming visibly frustrated and defensive when asked clarifying questions. On one occasion, she incorrectly blamed me for outdated insurance information, despite it having been properly updated during electronic check-in at the beginning of the year. In addition, her responses through the patient portal have been unhelpful. She frequently fails to provide solutions, offer options, or confirm key details needed to ensure clear communication between the patient and provider. This has made what should be a supportive care experience feel stressful and inefficient. I have always held Dr. Maxwell’s team in high regard, so these experiences have been particularly disappointing. I hope Nurse Rowell will align more closely with the professional standards and patient-centered approach that define the Catalyst model and Dr. Maxwell’s excellent reputation. As a key member of his team, she represents both the practice and the physician. I sincerely hope this feedback is received constructively and leads to positive changes in the patient experience.

It's A First Class Hospital. Yet One Dr Treatment of me will not ruin my view of the Overall Performance of the Hospital as a whole. I wanted to be admitted the Dr Thought otherwise when I question his Opinion he kicked me out of the ER an had 5 Police officers Carrying pistols exscort me off the Property all because I was Treated like a First Class Citizen on my initial Visit then treated like a Hebrew Slave in Egypt. So what I still love the Hospital an want everyone to know Anybody can have a bad day....The Dr is just the problem to himself and reputation of the Hospital Staff. One day they all will face a scrutiny that can never be forgiven. That's not my call. GOD bless all that Visit Methodist Hospital in Richardson.
