At this hour 9:30 am theres was hardly any people which is great. I only got a few pieces of sweet bread carnitas and a chicharrón (but it was very salty dont recommend) and a agua fresca.
This place is HEB but more vivid, more colorful, more cheerful than many HEB stores. Their meat market is some place that you start drooling when you see their showcase with many different marinated cuts. Fajitas, and variety is fenominal. Taking the drive all the way from Alvin to Pasadena just for fajita shows how good they are. Also they have little cafeteria that you can get full course meals Mexican style but barbacoa Street tacos is a must. Honestly I had them several times just for taste even I was not hungry at all. Their hot sauce is yummy too. I the only hick up is hard to find English speakers but my gibberish in Spanish improving. 😀
You can never go wrong with HEB's Mi Tienda in Pasadena Texas. Awesome. Muy delicioso.
been shopping here for years but the staff recently has been getting so negligent and uninterested in doing their jobs. workers start gossiping in front of me instead of greeting and work slowly. store's been getting incredibly packed even when it's early, you cant even walk comfortably. dont bother coming if you're in a rush because it'll still take 30 mins to get a few things with how busy it's been getting. carts arent stationed at the front of the store anymore, they're all in the parking lot and you have to bag your own sweet bread in plastic produce bags now. i will, however, always commend the aguas frescas workers and fromt kitchen staff though for always being so kind + the few cashiers who still believe in customer service ♡ they make these tiring trips worth it.
An adventure awaits for those who only shop at their close-by store. The meat counter is 3x size of a normal HEB. You can get cooked Fajita outside the entrance and full mexican meals inside. Full bakery, imported candy.
