For grocery shopping in Berkeley, Mi Tierra Foods is noted for fresh produce and a selection that includes vegetables in the frozen section. Shoppers seeking Mexican groceries can browse a smaller market instead of a large supermarket, while home cooks may find ingredients for meals they want to prepare themselves. Customer feedback also points to fresh ceviche and prepared desserts, adding choices beyond pantry staples. Sign in to reviewThey need to review their pricing strategy because while they have a nice selection, everything is overpriced. I paid $80 the other day for one bag of groceries. Pros: produce, veggie options in frozen section, fresh ceviche, friendly staff. Cons: high priced, no halal meat, hard to navigate with a cart when they’re busy, limited parking.
Great little grocery store! Produce section is super fresh and the prepared desserts are very tasty. They also have a restaurant section with daily specials (like taco Tuesday). We got tacos, chicken enchiladas, and horchata, and they were delicious and affordable. All the employees are super friendly.
Just bought a super shrimp burrito and trust me this was the worse burrito I have ever tasted in my whole life. No pico, no cream, mostly tortilla, a big chunk of rice on one side, a chunk of guac on 1 side big pieces of lettuce no flavor no spice. $17 gone to trash ! Never ever again buying food from here.
Good small market that can't be miss! The small parking in the back helps. They also have specials for tacos too! 🌮 And the staff/ cashier was nice and friendly. …
First time having Baja fish and that was over 3 hours ago and I'm still full. Came with beans and rice, a side salad with guac, and Pico with spicy sauce on the fish which was pretty good. You can come here to get your own food to cook or have them cook something for you. It was pretty busy when I got there which made it a bit crowded and aggravating with ppl staring at me. Not like a glance but a full out gawk. 👀👁🧐😳 Their prices are decent and they have just about everything you might need.
