Mike’s Auto Center

Mike’s Auto Center is an auto repair shop at 3116 Cleary Ave in Metairie, LA 70002, serving local drivers who want clear explanations and straightforward help with their vehicles. The shop has a 4.9-star rating from 97 reviews, and customers often point to honesty, fair pricing, and attentive communication as reasons they feel comfortable returning. Reviews describe working with Angel, the owner, who takes time to explain what a vehicle needs and keep customers informed. For drivers who have struggled to find a mechanic they trust, that practical, personal approach can make a repair visit feel less uncertain.

Customers mention help with a coolant issue and work on older vehicles, along with knowledgeable mechanics and repairs completed efficiently. The reviews do not describe a full service menu, so it is best to contact the shop directly about a particular repair or vehicle concern. What customers do emphasize is careful work, clear explanations, and recommendations that feel grounded in the vehicle’s needs. One reviewer appreciated that an older car was handled thoroughly, while others noted that they did not feel pressured into unnecessary repairs or parts. That can be especially reassuring when you want to understand your options before deciding what work to approve.

The experience described by reviewers is friendly and direct: Angel explains the issue, answers questions, and provides updates during the process. Customers also mention reasonable prices and, in one review, flexible monthly payment options. Because payment arrangements and repair needs can vary, ask the shop about current options and any estimate before work begins. Whether you are bringing in one vehicle or several, the feedback suggests a shop focused on doing the work fairly and helping customers feel informed rather than rushed. It may suit drivers with an older vehicle, people dealing with a specific problem such as a coolant issue, and anyone who values straightforward communication from a local mechanic.

Mike’s Auto Center is open Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and closed Saturday and Sunday. Its location on Cleary Avenue makes it a local option for people in Metairie seeking auto repair during the workweek. If you are comparing repair shops, you can use the customer feedback as a starting point: reviewers repeatedly describe the service as honest, efficient, and fairly priced, while noting that explanations are clear and recommendations are not driven by unnecessary upselling. Call or visit to discuss your vehicle and confirm the shop can help with the repair you need. For a neighborhood Metairie, Louisiana auto repair shop, Mike’s combines practical vehicle care with the trust and personal attention customers say they appreciate.
