Sign in to reviewI got a facial at milk + honey with Savannah and it was awesome!! She provided a super relaxing experience while also analyzing my skin type and teaching me how to properly care for my skin at home without spending a ton of money. My facial included red/blue light therapy, extractions, and even a scalp message. Savannah explained everything as she did it to allow me to relax fully and was super open to any questions I had, she also communicated with me through the extractions to make sure I wasn't in any pain. Highly recommend getting a facial here if you're wanting either a super relaxing experience or just to learn more about your skin. And, if I haven't mentioned her enough, highly recommend Savannah!!
Sadie J was fantastic! Looking for a curl specialist? Sadie will make your hair look its best. She helped me decide on what look would be most flattering for me and she gradually worked with me to shape my hair into a new look that feels great! She styled my hair and suggested tools and product that will be low-effort and fit my routine. I’m so grateful!! She was also a lovely conversationalist and it was an all-around great experience! Her services were more affordable than similar ones in the area. I’m traveling and only regret that I won’t get to return! Highly recommend Sadie!!
I really wanted to love my experience because the salon itself is beautiful, quiet, and relaxing. The front desk staff was very welcoming, offered refreshments, and even accommodated me with an earlier appointment when an opening became available. At the beginning of my appointment, I shared that I had experienced disappointing haircuts in the past and was nervous about trying a new salon. When booking my appointment, I also included notes that I struggle with hair tangling and can be sensitive to excessive pulling during hair services. Unfortunately, my appointment did not go as expected. I arrived at 5:55 PM for my 6:15 PM appointment, but my service did not begin until around 6:30 PM because my stylist was running behind. During the consultation, I asked for a butterfly cut with face-framing layers. My stylist immediately said she knew what I wanted, so I trusted that we were on the same page. No reference photos were requested during the consultation. After the initial cut, I felt the layers were not quite what I had envisioned, so I was the one who showed a reference photo and asked for more layering. While adjustments were made, I still felt the final result did not reflect the style shown in the reference photo, and my hair ended up looking very similar to how it did before. Throughout the appointment, I experienced a significant amount of pulling on my hair despite the notes I had provided beforehand. Because my stylist was running behind, I was also handed off to an assistant for part of the blowout. The blowout took quite a while, and despite mentioning that the air was too hot, my neck was accidentally burned several times. Later, while finishing the styling, my hair became caught in the dryer, which was painful. I was especially looking forward to seeing the haircut come to life through the blowout, but I did not feel that a true blowout was achieved. The finished style lacked the volume and movement I typically associate with a blowout, and my hair appeared mostly straight when I left, making it difficult to see the butterfly cut effect I had hoped for. By the time I left around 8:45 PM, I had been at the salon for nearly three hours and felt uncomfortable bringing up my concerns because the salon was preparing to close. I also felt somewhat overlooked during my appointment. While I understand not every client wants constant conversation, I couldn’t help but notice other stylists engaging warmly with their clients while my appointment felt rushed and disconnected. I understand that busy days happen, and I do feel the pricing was reasonable for the services offered. My disappointment was never about the cost—it was that after all that time, I had hoped to leave with the haircut I specifically asked for and envisioned. The salon atmosphere itself was lovely, which is why this review is difficult to write. Despite my experience, I would be open to giving the salon another chance in the future because I genuinely enjoyed the environment and kindness of the front desk staff. If I do return, I would likely book with a different stylist and have a more detailed consultation beforehand to ensure we’re aligned on the final look. I hope this feedback is taken constructively, as it is intended to share my honest experience and help improve future client visits.
It was my first time at M+H and I had such a great experience. My facial was so relaxing and the esthetician, Claire, walked me through all the steps as I’ve never had one before. She was very helpful and friendly. My nail tech, MinMin was also very friendly and I am so happy with my mani pedi.
Ashley made a mundane visit to the salon a nervous system regulating, calming experience. From the products she chose to use, the shampoo she gave me, our lovely conversation and how beautiful I felt when I left. Also, the women at the front desk were friendly , helpful and patient. I can’t wait to go back.
