John happened upon us and our dead car in the parking lot of an AutoZone at about 9:30 pm. AZ staff been attempting to resolve the issue for over three hours, but after installing a new battery, it still wasn’t starting and a part they thought they needed wasn’t in stock. The store was about to close and we were facing a long wait just to get it towed home for the night. John came over and volunteered to help, had the necessary sensor on his truck, and even discovered a fuse that needed replaced that no one else had caught. He had the car repaired in less than 30 minutes. He was extremely knowledgeable, efficient, so kind, and has a big personality and a servant’s heart to top it all off. He was our angel, and deserves wings (as does his girlfriend, who waited patiently during this interruption of their evening)! Several mechanics never answered, wouldn’t return calls, or acted like answering a simple question was an inconvenience. John was the exact opposite. He was prompt, professional, honest, and genuinely cared about helping me—not just fixing my vehicle. He quickly diagnosed the problem on my 2020 Infiniti QX80 and never once tried to upsell me or recommend unnecessary repairs. His prices are more than fair, and you can tell integrity is at the heart of everything he does. What impressed me the most was how far above and beyond he was willing to go. After diagnosing the issue, we had to order the part overnight. Since I live about 45 minutes away, John offered to pick up the part from the dealership himself the next morning before returning to finish the repair. He never charged me anything extra for the additional driving or inconvenience. He had already made one trip to diagnose the problem and still happily came back the next day to complete the repair without making me feel like I was a burden. He also took it upon himself to call multiple dealerships to compare prices and make sure I wasn’t being overcharged. Because of his persistence and genuine care, he found me a brand-new shifter cable for a fraction of what another dealership was trying to charge. He literally saved me money simply because he was willing to put in the extra effort. Most people would have told me to figure it out myself—John treated my money like it mattered. On top of that he even refilled my windshield fluid before he left! Just amazing! ✝️😊😉 It was over 95 degrees outside, and while I felt bad watching him work in the Texas heat, he just smiled and said, “This is what I do.” That says everything about the kind of person he is. You can tell he genuinely loves his work and loves helping people. His professionalism, communication, work ethic, and customer service are second to none. John shows up when he says he will, communicates throughout the process, comes directly to you, and gets the job done right. If he tells you your vehicle only needs one repair, you can trust that’s all he’ll charge you for. In an industry where honest mechanics can be hard to find, John is a breath of fresh air. I looked forward to working with a mobile mechanic that seemed to have positive ratings on Google. John answered an inquiry about repairing a broken door on a Chevy in our fleet, showed up for the initial fix (only partial repair was done), then stopped responding after receiving payment for the initial work. He was supposed to return after the replacement part was shipped in but stopped replying to messages and calls. Seems like he was happy to take easy money and leave the work incomplete. I expected professionalism, that's not what we got.
