Mobile Auto Tech Inc

Mobile Auto Tech Inc is an auto repair shop in Metairie, Louisiana, serving drivers who need help understanding a vehicle problem and deciding what to do next. Located at 4428 S I-10 Service Rd W, Metairie, LA 70001, the shop has earned a 4.6-star rating across 35 customer reviews. Customers describe a mechanic who takes time to assess a problem, explain the findings, and discuss practical repair options rather than leaving people to guess about their car or truck.

A recurring theme in customer feedback is straightforward communication. One reviewer says the mechanic researched a vehicle issue, identified which parts were needed, and followed up with a call after the customer had gone home. Another describes being told candidly that repairing an engine failure on a very old car might not be a worthwhile investment. That kind of conversation can help drivers weigh the likely cost against a vehicle’s age and condition. Clear options matter, especially when a repair decision feels stressful.

Customers also mention work on a 2005 GMC Canyon and help with multiple issues on a truck. Reviews praise the mechanic for addressing problems that others had not resolved, as well as for being quick and financially reasonable. A separate customer says the shop helped reassure them that their car was not near the end of its life. These accounts point to a practical focus on troubleshooting, vehicle repair, and helping customers make informed choices—not a one-size-fits-all recommendation.

The personal approach stands out in a review from a family visiting the New Orleans area for Mardi Gras. When their car broke down about an hour away, the mechanic walked the customer’s husband through getting it running and did not ask for anything in return, according to the reviewer. This experience suggests that Mobile Auto Tech Inc may be a useful name to keep in mind when a breakdown leaves a driver unsure what to do. Contact the shop directly to ask what help is available for your particular situation.

Mobile Auto Tech Inc is open Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and closed Saturday and Sunday. Its Metairie location is convenient to drivers looking for an independent repair shop where customers say they receive honest explanations, reasonable pricing, and prompt attention. Whether you are dealing with a recurring truck issue, evaluating a repair on an older vehicle, or seeking an assessment before making a larger decision, the reviews suggest a calm, candid conversation is part of the experience. Call ahead to discuss your vehicle and confirm service details before visiting.
