I’ve been getting my hair done here since September of last year and have been coming back ever since!! It’s about an hour drive from where I’m from and it’s always worth it🤩 The salon staff are always so kind and welcoming to me every visit!! They don’t disappoint at all when it comes to giving amazing service and customer service, this is the only salon I have been to that makes me feel comfortable! I suggest this to any and everyone who wants their hair done as the salon staff accommodates for many😊 Attached are photos of the work they’ve done to my hair and I am in love every time!

I’ve been going to Modern Salon for a decade, and my stylist Manny is the only person I trust to cut my hair. I refuse to let anyone else touch it! He’s been in the business for years and truly knows what he’s doing. What I love most is that Manny listens. If you ask for a specific style, that’s exactly what you get—he doesn’t try to switch it up or do what he thinks looks better. He delivers exactly what you ask for every single time, and that consistency is everything. The customer service at Modern Salon is amazing. They run so efficiently—you’re in and out, but still get top-quality care. Manny’s team is incredible as well. While he’s working with other clients, his team keeps everything flowing by washing and prepping your hair. They all work hand-in-hand, and you can really tell it’s a well-oiled machine. I was just there yesterday, and the experience was next level. During the wash and conditioning, they gave a head massage and OMG… best three minutes ever! It was so relaxing and just added to the whole experience. Even though it’s about a 35–40 minute drive from my house, it is 100% worth it. I’ll keep making that drive every time because I know I’m leaving happy. If you’re looking for an amazing haircut and top-tier service, this is the place. Highly, highly recommend Modern Salon—and definitely ask for Manny!

I've been coming to Modern Salon for years, including several of their locations throughout the Houston area, and I've always had a great experience. At the Mason Road location, Manny and his team are professional, attentive, and truly care about their clients. The salon is always clean, with a fresh and relaxing atmosphere that makes every visit enjoyable. I have tried other salons over the years, but I always find myself coming back to Modern Salon. The quality of service, consistency, and professionalism are hard to match. I've definitely learned my lesson—there's no need to go anywhere else! I highly recommend Modern Salon to anyone looking for excellent service and a great salon experience.

I recently relocated to the area and was in search of a blow dry bar, but to my disappointment, there were none available. Consequently, I decided to give this place a try. Upon my visit, I requested a wash and style, emphasizing the importance of adding volume at the root and using a brush to curl the ends. However, my experience turned out to be a painful ordeal lasting 30 minutes. The stylist assigned to me inexplicably sprayed my wet roots with what I suspect was hairspray, and proceeded to handle my hair roughly, literally ripping it from the root during the blow-drying process. Adding to the frustration, the person assigned to me spoke no English, making communication nearly impossible. Furthermore, they used low-quality shampoo, applied conditioner directly to my roots rather than the ends, and seemed overly aggressive in their approach, causing the blow dryer attachment to repeatedly detach. Upon returning home and attempting to rectify the situation, I noticed that my hair had lost its shine and felt stiff and dry at the roots. Furthermore, wherever I parted my hair, I found sections that had been tugged and were standing up. This experience ranks as the worst I’ve ever had at a salon, and I would strongly discourage anyone from visiting this establishment.
