Open daily from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM, the practice provides a convenient option for residents, visitors, and nearby workers looking for Thai massage in San Jose. Its 4.6 rating from 151 reviews gives prospective guests a useful snapshot of the consistently positive experiences shared by customers. The Alameda location also places it near central San Jose. Rather than presenting a one-size-fits-all visit, reviewer feedback points to sessions that respond to the areas where the body is holding stress.
Thai massage is especially known for combining hands-on bodywork with assisted stretching, and that combination stands out in customer descriptions of Mon Siam Thai Massage. A first-time Thai massage guest wrote that the stretches alongside the massage felt vastly different from a standard deep-tissue experience. Other reviewers specifically mention strong pressure and deep-tissue work for persistent tightness or soreness. One customer praised Pam's knowledge of specific problem areas and ability to identify tense spots; another said Bee's deep-tissue massage helped quiet an over-stressed mind for an hour. These are individual experiences, but they help set expectations for guests considering a firmer, more targeted massage style.
Reviews also describe a clean, serene, respectful setting with cozy decor, creating an atmosphere that can make a wellness appointment feel unrushed and comfortable. One guest noted complimentary tea after the massage, while another longtime customer described returning for more than six years. A review of an 85-minute Aroma Thai massage with Joy reported feeling lighter afterward and highlighted welcome relief following the session. Details like these suggest a place where the overall visit matters alongside the massage itself: time to settle in, attentive treatment, and a calm moment before returning to the day.
Whether you are new to Thai massage, regularly book bodywork, or are looking for a San Jose massage therapist after long hours at a desk, exercise, travel, or everyday tension, Mon Siam Thai Massage offers a locally situated option on The Alameda. Guests seeking firm pressure, deep-tissue attention, and stretching-based Thai techniques may find the feedback particularly relevant. Since needs and pressure preferences vary, sharing your goals and areas of discomfort at the start can help shape the visit. With seven-day availability and an established base of customer reviews, this San Jose Thai massage practice is worth considering when relief, mobility, and a peaceful setting are priorities.

Sign in to reviewThe best consistently good massage place in the bay area and I’be been to many. Pam is very knowledgeable when it comes to relieving specific soreness and tightness and can tell where you’re tight and uses a lot of pressure if you’re looking for a strong deep tissue massage.
One of the best massages I’ve ever gotten, and I get massages regularly. They had complimentary tea for afterwards and they got every spot I needed, as if they could read my mind! Incredible service, super cute cozy decor, would recommend this place to anybody!
I have been coming to Mon Siam for over six years. This Thai family clinic is clean, serene, and respectful. After today’s 85 minute Aroma Thai massage with Joy, I feel taller, lighter, and my knee pain is gone! Thanks, Joy! 🙏🏼 As a licensed massage therapist myself, I wish to address the complaints below about the therapist not knowing where to relieve pain. Trained and licensed therapists can tell the condition and quality of the tissue through touch. Your discomfort may be caused my referred pain, which originates from another area of the body: fascia, muscle, tendons, and ligaments which may be misaligned. Your food sensitivities also can cause refer pain through your organs. In our consumer society, most people want immediate relief without the body awareness gained through patience, observation, and self-reflection. If your pain is caused by a pinched nerve, your deep tissue request may even aggravate your condition! Thai massage is quite therapeutic. For example, I had the flu in December which left me with a nagging cough. When I visited in March, Joy sensed that my diaphragm was tight. After she released it, my cough ceased. The diaphragm is the muscle which contracts and relaxes at the base of your lungs when you breathe. If your first visit was disappointing, ask for another therapist the next time, while also checking whether your expectations are clinically realistic. Were you truly present in your body during the massage, or were you distracted by your expectations? I have booked my appointments months in advance. Thank you
My first Thai Massage. Amazing! The stretches combined with the massage is vastly superior to normal deep tissue. Great environment and staff. Will definitely visit again.
