About

Mr Bubbles Sandwich House WESTBANK is listed on FindALoco in Gretna, LA with address, phone, hours, and map location. Common services and related keywords include Sandwich Shop.

Mr Bubbles Sandwich House WESTBANK is a sandwich shop at 925 Behrman Hwy #12 in Gretna, Louisiana, serving customers looking for Vietnamese-style sandwiches and drinks on the Westbank. Its setting beside Hong Kong Market makes it a convenient stop to pair with a visit to the international market. Customer reviews mention banh mi, boba drinks, and Vietnamese iced coffee, giving the shop appeal for people seeking more than a quick sandwich while exploring the area or running errands nearby.

Banh mi is a recurring reason customers say they visit. One reviewer praised the bread for being delicate yet firm enough to hold the fillings, and described three sandwiches as tasty. Other feedback also calls the sandwiches delicious, while one customer felt the sandwiches were overpriced and had too little meat compared with the vegetables. That range of opinions is useful context: diners may find a sandwich they enjoy, but preferences about portion balance and value differ. If those details matter to you, consider them when choosing what to order.

Drinks are another part of the experience described by customers. Reviews specifically mention boba and Vietnamese iced coffee, with one longtime visitor recalling the shop as a favorite boba stop and another calling its Vietnamese iced coffee a standout. Experiences are not uniformly positive: a customer reported an unpleasant interaction and disliked the drink they received. Taken together, reviews suggest the menu attracts people who enjoy Vietnamese-inspired drinks as well as sandwiches, but service and taste can be experienced differently from one visit to another.

The location may suit market visitors, people exploring Gretna, and anyone nearby who wants to try banh mi or a Vietnamese-style drink. Customers have described stopping in while visiting the area, and the neighboring market adds a practical reason to include the shop in a local outing. The business has a 4.3 rating from 90 reviews, reflecting a mix of favorable comments and criticism rather than a uniformly positive response. Checking recent feedback can help set expectations before visiting.

Plan carefully around the listed schedule: Mr Bubbles Sandwich House WESTBANK is open Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and is listed as closed Monday through Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday. Because the schedule is limited to one day a week, confirm current hours before making a special trip. For visitors in Gretna seeking a sandwich shop with customer-mentioned banh mi, boba, and Vietnamese iced coffee, this Westbank address offers a distinct option near Hong Kong Market, with reviews that provide a candid picture of both its appeal and its mixed experiences.

Mr. Bubbles — 5 ⭐️ Located right before you walk into Hong Kong Market, this is hands down one of my favorite boba spots in the area. And being next to one of the best international markets in Greater New Orleans? Yeah… it’s a whole experience. I started coming here about 7 years ago, and my go-to back then was the Vietnamese coffee with boba jelly. Fell in love instantly. Then one day I wanted to switch it up, and the owner—who I’ve seen consistently since day one—put me on to honeydew with watermelon and condensed milk. BABY… that became my order for a whole year. So this visit, I came in on the same type of timing, wanting something new. And just like that, she recommended strawberry with coconut. Let me tell you… she knows BALL. The flavor is creamy, smooth, and gives strawberry Blue Bell ice cream vibes in the best way. Their boba is always consistent. Texture on point, flavors on point. Never a miss. They also have bánh mì—basically a Vietnamese po-boy—and I’m almost certain the bread is from Dong Phuong. If you know, you know. I usually get the roasted sweet pork with extra pâté because that pâté? Chef’s kiss every single time. Random memory but I remember catching them at NOLA Night Market years ago and that lemongrass chicken had my husband hooked. I’m still waiting on that comeback! They went fully takeout after COVID and are on DoorDash, but I noticed the boba teas aren’t listed. Honestly, I get it… they don’t hold up the same sitting around. Staff is always kind, service is smooth, and the quality never slipped in all these years. This is a no-brainer for me. I’ll always come back—and I’m always trying something new. I also recommend the Banana with Matcha boba tea smoothie.

Nice place but sandwiches are overpriced and not flavorful. They load it with vegetables and little meat. Big rip off for the price.

Was just exploring the city for the day, came looking for great banh mi and in my search, i came across this shop. Tasty sandwiches and the bread is just so delicate but firm enough to hold everything in place! I got 3 sandwiches and all were amazing, by far one of my favorite places for banh mi :)

Best Vietnamese iced coffee I ever had from a business, best in town so far. Sandwiches are delicious too. Highly recommended.

The service was incredibly rude. After making the drink, the barista didn't even call my order; they just cleared their throat and slammed the cup on the counter, giving me dirty looks. To make matters worse, the drink tasted just as bad as the service.
