Dang this is some delicious Thai food! We have driven by a few times and finally decided to stop in. We were greeted right away and the service was excellent throughout our meal. The restaurant itself is very welcoming with a great amount of tables. We ordered the Spicy Wontons, Thai Papaya Salad, and Khao Soi. We ordered everything with medium spiciness and heads up that they aren’t playing with the spice level! The papaya salad with super flavorful with a great balance of sweet and sour flavors. The Khao Soi was so tasty and had a great amount of noodles. The pricing is incredibly fair for the portion sizes and we will be back. Highly Reccommended!

I was craving Thai food and what a spot to satisfy my craving! The servers are super attentive and kind. Khao soi was phenomenal and packed with so much flavor! Ordered that and the green curry at a level 2 and it was the perfect spice level. Thai tea was well made and complimented the spicy curries. Definitely worth the hype!

We ordered quite a few dishes to go and everything traveled really well. The Lao papaya salad was packed with authentic Thai flavor and the extra Thai spicy level definitely delivered. The Tom Yum noodle soup was rich, flavorful, The Isan sausage, Yum Moo Yor, fried chicken skin, and fried pork belly were all delicious and made great appetizers. The Khao Mun Gai Combo was satisfying, with tender chicken and flavorful rice. For dessert the mango sticky rice was excellent the mango was sweet and ripe, and the sticky rice was creamy and perfectly balanced. The coconut ice cream was a refreshing finish to the meal. The only small disappointment was the coconut ice cream. It normally comes with bread, but unfortunately they were out of bread that day. If it had come with the bread, it would have been absolutely perfect. Even as takeout everything tasted fresh and well prepared. We ended up enjoying it on the boat while watching the sunset on Lake Texoma which made the meal even more memorable. I also really loved the restaurant’s decor and atmosphere. Everything was thoughtfully designed and had a fun, unique vibe. One of my favorite touches was that some of the staff were serving food while dressed like Thai motorcycle taxi drivers. It was something I had never seen before and it added a fun and memorable touch to the dining experience. 😊 Highly recommend the Lao papaya salad and mango sticky rice. We’ll definitely be back!

Mun Gai Thai is serving up some authentic Thai dishes that you don’t see around DFW! Looking through the menu, you’ll see your familiar dishes like your green/red/yellow curry in addition to the Thai noodle/rice dishes, but then you will also see hidden gems like crispy papaya salad, spicy corn salad, spicy/lime raw salmon, etc. I would highly recommend venturing and trying out new dishes and mixing it with familiar ones. Highly recommend the Kao Mun Gai for their super succulent, moist, tender chicken paired with a fragrant lemon grass rice and Kao Kluk Kapi was delicious and comforting with the fried shrimp, Chinese sausage, egg, and fresh veggies! Khao Soi was also comforting and had a clean finish. The heat level is on the Thai-spicy side so beware and the dishes come out fast! I am excited to come back and try more new dishes.

I’m Thai and have been in search for the most authentic Thai food in the DFW area for a few years since I moved into the area. The search has ended tonight. This was not just great food but an experience, WOW. Everything was delicious and the service was excellent and the ambiance was clean and creative. This will be my favorite date night with hubby. We had Pad Ke Mow, Spring Rolls, Papya salad fresh, papaya fried, beef fried rice, and mango sticky rice for dessert.
