Sign in to reviewNew patient here - booked the new-patient hygienist cleaning option. Dentist called 2 hours before appointment and said they wouldn’t be able to do a full cleaning. Why offer a service that you can’t honor? Terrible first impression and representative was condescending. Would NOT recommend.
My experience here was mixed. The dental assistant and front desk staff were genuinely kind and welcoming, and the office ran smoothly — no complaints there. My concern was with the treatment recommendation. Dr. Hervas suggested a root canal on a tooth that wasn’t causing me any pain but did have a deep cavity. As a cash patient facing $3,000+ for a root canal and crown, I wanted to explore all options before committing to something irreversible on a nerve that was still alive — not just very costly, but permanent. A root canal essentially removes the life of the tooth, which can make it more brittle and vulnerable over time, even with a crown. I sought a second opinion from another highly rated dentist, and I’m very glad I did. He confirmed that a root canal wasn’t necessary at this stage and that the tooth could be treated with a deep filling instead. While the decay was close to the nerve, it was not close enough to require a pulp cap. He did recommend a crown in the near future, but accommodated my budget by first treating the tooth with a deep filling to stop the decay from progressing — at a fraction of the cost. He also emphasized that preserving a living tooth is beneficial, even when a crown is needed later. I understand that dentists can have different clinical perspectives, and I’m not suggesting anything improper. However, if you’re ever advised to undergo a major, irreversible procedure — especially as a cash patient — I would strongly encourage getting a second opinion before moving forward. The staff here is excellent. The treatment plan just wasn’t the right fit for my situation.
Dr Hervas is excellent. She is very considerate and professional. I highly recommend her as your dentist. I moved further away always i would continue as her patient.
I’m a terrible dental patient that is normally full of anxiety. But, this is an office full of the best people! All are kind, patient and caring from the receptionist to the Dr. Special thanks to Dr Christine for her explanations and making me feel so at ease. I wouldn’t have made it through my exam without help from her assistant Nina and her special magic trick so I didn’t have any issues during X-rays. If you are afraid of the dentist. This is the place to go. They will put you at ease and get you taken care of.
I would highly recommend My Dentist to anyone that needs the support of a very good dentist and supporting technicians that care about giving the best care possible and are very in tune with safety, comfort, and pain management when needed. …
