I’ve been working here as a Case Manager and honestly it’s been a really good experience. I love being able to help my participants and actually see the impact I’m making in their lives. It can get busy, but it’s definitely rewarding. The team is supportive and it’s a good environment to grow in. Overall I really enjoy what I do here.
This company has been one of the only companies I've seen to go above and beyond for both the staff and clients. The admin team is accommodating and helpful, while the caregivers that have come out of this company are efficiently trained and resourceful to our clients. After some time working here, I can say that MYIAH is a wonderful organization to be a part of!
Three words of advice: Get a camera. Not a single caregiver in the three months with this company was dependable. During intake, I was assured of a commitment to alleviate the stress of having a family member with complex care needs. Our experience was anything but professional. We experienced staff coming up to 3 & 1/2 hours late, sleeping, leaving the home with my son left inside, having loud, personal arguments on cell phones filled with profanity and destroying personal property. To top it off, I received a text to discharge my son from their care without due 30 day notice or any attempt to allow proper coordination of care with another home care provider—this was illegal and compounded the difficulty to maintain my son’s health and safety. It’s sad, because I was referred to this company by someone I really respect. Perhaps this company is better suited for those rehabbing, but for someone with complex care needs it was a nightmare.
Not a good company to work for. The director of operations is rude, standoffish, and has no clue what she's doing but she's in good with the owner so she gets away with everything. They play favorites and overall are very unprofessional, especially HR who will tell your business to other staff. They will punish you for doing things that other people do, but the people who get away with it are friends with management so nothing happens to them. The pay is TERRIBLE. Do not work here and do not refer anyone you care about to receive services from this company. They brag about being a Black owned company but mistreat their BLACK employees. It’s sad because management talks about the caregivers like dogs and always say how they can’t wait to fire them. They even have current employees leaving reviews as if they would say anything negative and risk losing their jobs 😂 Isn’t it odd that they can’t get any of their participants to leave a positive review? What a joke!
Been working for MYIAH remotely as an Admin Aide. It has been the greatest experience to be able to help my teammates virtually. The challenge is there, but so is the growth! Best regards to Lisa! ❤️
