For two years straight, I've been getting fresh cuts from Paul. When I heard he started working at Naamza Barbershop, I instantly hit that appointment button. He's a dream combination: professional, friendly, and a master of his craft. He just knows, like magic, what kind of style I'm wanting and needing even if I'm vague with my explanations. He considers factors like face shape and current trends to really create that best style for you and you only. No generic templates here. I always get compliments on my cuts. When they ask where I got it, I recommend Paul without hesitation. I'm planning on getting both a down perm and coloring from him soon, so I'll be updating my review then (I'm expecting nothing less than his usual perfection.)

Started with straight thick Asian hair. Left with textured curly permed hair. My third time getting a perm (first time at this location), and I must say, I really like how Paul gave me a nice quick trim and cleanup on the sides and back, and then effortlessly put in the curls. His head massage was really nice, too. Highly recommend booking with Paul!

I have been going to Naamza for the past two years, since 2023, back when it was only Sehwa and Will. It has been great watching them grow into a full team of stylists and expand to two locations. I first came in after getting the same short hairstyle with a fade for most of my life. I wanted something different and was looking for a longer hairstyle. I booked with Sehwa (who is the owner), and I had an amazing experience! She is an expert who really understands hair, face shape, and styling. I did not know what I wanted, so I asked her to recommend a style. She chose a hairstyle that I really liked, and I have trusted her judgment ever since. I mainly see Sehwa, but I have also seen every other stylist except Jimin. Every stylist I have tried has been fantastic. I have tried short styles, long styles, and even different types of perms, and it has been fun experimenting with new looks with a team I trust. Also, the salon is extremely clean, the staff is personable, and everyone is attentive and welcoming. If you are looking for a reliable, skilled, and comfortable salon experience in Los Angeles, I highly recommend Naamza!

See pic: worst haircut and perm of my entire life from WILL. I don’t understand how I can show someone multiple pictures of my hair after the last service and still end up w this. I truly couldn’t imagine a worse cut or perm if someone were intentionally trying to make it look bad. It’s not just bad compared to what I asked for, it’s bad compared to anything anyone has ever asked for. Just goes to show how misleading even good ratings can be when such a small sample size.
