If you are looking for a Vietnamese-style coffee break in Los Angeles, CA, Nam Coffee is a coffee shop that stands out for its focused menu, relaxed energy, and distinctly local feel. Tucked along Fountain Avenue in Los Angeles, this spot has earned a solid reputation with a 4.4 rating from 114 reviews, and many visitors come specifically for drinks that feel connected to Vietnamese coffee culture. Open daily from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, it works well for a morning pick-me-up, an afternoon reset, or a casual stop when exploring the neighborhood.

What draws people in most is the coffee itself. Reviewers repeatedly mention the Vietnamese coffee, with the Saigon Latte getting a clear nod as a favorite. The egg coffee also gets a lot of attention, especially from guests happy to find one of the few places in LA serving it. Customers describe the foam as thick and creamy, and the drinks as flavorful and memorable. At the same time, some note that certain drinks lean sweet, so Nam Coffee may be especially appealing for those who enjoy richer, dessert-like coffee drinks rather than a very austere or traditional profile.

The atmosphere is another reason people remember Nam Coffee in Los Angeles. Guests describe it as cute, chill, and low-key, with a small indoor seating area and a few tables that make it suitable for chatting with friends or getting a little work done. It is not presented as a large, bustling cafe; instead, it feels more like a compact neighborhood stop where the mood is easygoing and the staff is friendly. For solo visitors, remote workers, and pairs meeting for conversation, that unfussy setting can be part of the appeal.

A practical note for anyone planning a visit: parking can be difficult. Multiple reviewers mention that street parking around the shop may take extra time, and some people end up walking a block or two. If you are visiting during a busy time in Los Angeles, CA, it helps to plan ahead and allow a few extra minutes before ordering. Some customers also mention that prices can feel high for an everyday routine, especially for pickup orders, though others feel the quality and specialty offerings make the visit worthwhile.

Overall, Nam Coffee offers a recognizable Vietnamese coffee shop experience with a modern neighborhood LA vibe. For people searching for a coffee shop in Los Angeles that serves Vietnamese coffee, egg coffee, and drinks like the Saigon Latte in a relaxed setting, it is a place worth knowing. Whether you are meeting a friend, taking a quiet work break, or simply curious about Vietnamese coffee in Los Angeles, Nam Coffee gives you a specific experience that many guests remember for both its drinks and atmosphere.

Legitimate Vietnamese coffee with the vibe to go along with it. But first let me get the parking situation out of the way. It’s extremely difficult to find parking since it’s located in a two way street. Personally I recommend coming in a pair if you’re not from the area. One gets out and gets a seat while the other spends a little time circling to find a spot. Other than that it’s a gem of a place. The aesthetics are pleasing to the eye and they have a couple of seats in the inside as well as the front. I ordered two of their popular drinks which were the Salted Cream Coffee and the Signature Vietnamese coffee. Both of the drinks were on point and after my first sip I was Lit. These drinks had me going all day long. The service was ok and i kinda expected better but what can you do, you can’t win them all. So if you’re ever in the area and craving good coffee in an eye pleasing atmosphere then check this place out for sure.

I was excited to try the egg coffee after having it almost on a daily basis in Vietnam. But their egg coffee is defaulted to iced. The foam was thick and creamy, but it was really sweet. You have the option to get it hot, but the liquid to egg ratio is way too much. If you are looking for traditional egg coffee, this is not the place. They were other specialties we tried, but it still fell short of other specialty coffees we tried. The interior is nice, though, and there were cute tables outside.

The coffee itself was good, but the price was hard to justify. It came out to about $12 for a single coffee when ordering online for pickup, which felt pretty expensive. Overall decent quality, but the pricing makes it difficult to come back regularly.

Chill coffee shop. One of the few places in LA to get a nice egg coffee. Small seating area inside with a few tables. A good place to chat with friends or get a little work done. The egg coffee is delicious. Service was good. Friendly staff. Street parking but you might have to walk a block or two.
