New Asian BBQ is a restaurant on Spring Mountain Road in Las Vegas, Nevada, at 5150 Spring Mountain Rd #6, Las Vegas, NV 89146. It is especially known among local diners for dim sum, with carts bringing dishes around the dining room. Guests describe the selection as fresh from the carts, and the quick service can help keep food moving even when the restaurant is busy. The room is not especially large, so the lively pace and close quarters are part of the experience rather than a quiet, spacious setting.
Dim sum favorites mentioned by customers include pork siu mai, shrimp rice noodle rolls, sticky rice with chicken, and soup-filled dumplings. Reviews also call out the vegetables and describe the soup dumplings as flavorful, while individual opinions on texture vary. For a meal beyond dim sum, diners have ordered barbecue pork, roasted duck, wonton noodles, and greens. These examples offer a useful sense of the Chinese-style dishes people come for, while the cart selection and availability may vary during a visit. If you have a particular dish in mind, checking what is being served when you arrive is a practical approach.
New Asian BBQ suits diners looking for a casual, social meal: families sharing several plates, friends meeting for dim sum, and visitors who enjoy choosing dishes as carts pass by. Customer reviews often mention weekend crowds and waits, with one Sunday visitor recommending an arrival around 11 a.m. to get ahead of the line. Another found the restaurant busy on a Wednesday but noted that service was fast. The atmosphere can be loud and hectic at peak times, so guests seeking a calm conversation or a roomy dining room may prefer to plan around busy periods. For many customers, though, the bustle is part of a familiar dim sum outing.
The restaurant is open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., making it an option for lunch, an afternoon meal, or dinner in Las Vegas. Its listed rating is 4.1 from 1,474 reviews, reflecting a substantial range of customer experiences rather than a guarantee of any particular visit. Located on Spring Mountain Road, New Asian BBQ brings together dim sum carts and barbecue dishes in a casual setting. Come ready for a busy dining room, explore the available dishes, and allow extra time if visiting during a popular weekend service. Tried the dim sum here for the first time. They are packed even on Wednesday, but the service is fast. It’s not too big inside, so you get the carts dry often. The tribes are a bit too soft and not crunchy. The veggies are really good. SLB is in good flavor and with soup inside but the dough wrapper is a bit too thick. The dessert while sugar cake is good. Everything is pretty good, nothing disappointing but nothing outstanding. Overall a good place to get your dim sum cravings.
6/21/26: 4 of us had Dim Sum. We LOVE this place and always have Dim Sum on Sundays before we head home… best to arrive at 11am or the line starts to get long outside. Everything is fresh off the carts and there’s plenty of carts so you’re not waiting long for food. If you don’t want to wait, you can also ask your server to get specific dim sum plates. They also have the freshest roast duck, roast pork and bbq pork hanging in the windows.
This place gets busy during the weekend. There was a wait time of 20 minutes before we got seated. I have seen a lot of people give this place a lower rating and I think I know the reason for that now. The place is super chaotic and loud. One of the things that I observed was that it is difficult to understand what the servers are saying when they bring the cart. I would recommend people to look up the items that they would want to try from the dim sum carts before they are seated for their meal. The food was really good. The dumplings, the pork bun, the pork sweet rice sticky dumplings, the pork siu mai, spicy wonton and the baked pineapple were served hot and tasted very good. The pineapple baked bun had a custard feeling and was absolutely delicious. We also ordered a plate of half roast duck and a small plate of BBQ pork. The roast duck was succulent and delicious. One thing to remember is that if you pay with card, then they will add an additional amount to the cash prices.
New Asian BBQ on Spring Mountain is hands down my favorite dim sum restaurant in Las Vegas. I’ve tried many dim sum places over the years, but this is the one I keep coming back to and confidently recommend to family, friends, and …
We came it at around 3pm Sunday and were lucky to catch the remaining dim sums, pork xiaomai, shrimp rice noddle wrap and sticky rice chicken. We also ordered a dish of BBQ pork and roasted duck, a bowl of wonton noddle and a dish of green …
