UNPLEASANT EXPERIENCE: I called Emily on 11/2 to schedule a Korean digital perm and told her I would be traveling from Portland. She asked if my hair was processed/colored multiple time, my answer was no. She wanted pics of my hair & what I wanted, which I did. My appointment was set for 11/28. Because I have an older EV a friend drove to Seattle for the appointment. We arrived early and popped into the Salon and Emily clearly saw my hair - and said nothing. However, when I returned about an hour later for the perm, I showed her the same pic of what I wanted and was astonished when she told me that because I have fine hair, the perm would not take. It was completely unprofessional for Emily, as the owner and stylist, to not properly ask about hair texture in advance knowing I was traveling from PDX especially since she asked repeatedly if it was processed. Her failure to do so was a complete disrespect of our time and completely avoidable. Not only did we spend close to seven hours getting there and back, my friend spent money on gas for the trip. Surprisingly, neither my friend or I remember Emily even touching my hair to confirm the texture. When I asked why it would not take, she was unable to answer and kept repeating my "hair was beautiful." It was almost like she was just done for the day without consideration to the time, efforts, and costs to get there and back. This was confirmed when I learned Korean Digit Perms are IDEAL for fine hair which is in direct contrast to Emily's representations. Emily is undeniably unprofessional, does not do proper due diligence in advance to appointments - even when clients are traveling seven hours roundtrip to see her. I have no idea why Emily thought her actions were in any way appropriate. But, I do know this was a VERY bad experience and I encourage individuals seeking these types of services from Emily to find another salon who conducts business in an ethical and honest manner.

I would give Emily 10 stars if I could. I was looking to get a digital perm since I had one in the past, but Emily recommended that I try a textured perm to add more waves and volume at the top of my head. I was nervous at first because she didn’t have pictures and I have thin Asian hair that is usually pretty flat, so I didn’t want it to be toooo curly. I took the chance and I’m so happy I did. This is the most I’ve ever loved my hair. Emily was also very kind and worked diligently on my hair, I felt extremely taken care of. Price was very fair compared to other salons too. Thank you, Emily!!!!

I got a straightening treatment done by Emily in October 2024 and it's been great! I have naturally fine and wavy hair so I was a little nervous to see if my hair could really handle it but I've had no issues! Four months later and it still air dries straight. Of course I've had a little bit of grow out since the treatment, so I'll probably go back to Emily once a year or so to get it touched up. Emily is also so sweet and great to work with! Would definitely recommend this straightening treatment!
