I visited Newman’s Automotive twice within two months. My first visit was a positive experience. Staff was friendly, communicative, and provided me with a loaner vehicle while my car was being repaired. However, I paid about $2,800, which I felt was significantly more expensive than comparable shops. My second visit changed my opinion completely. It took three days to diagnose my car. Each day I was told I would receive an update the following day, but I never did. I had to call them just to find out they needed another day. After the diagnosis, I owed about $2,300 for towing, labor, and replacement of a part they had installed only about a month earlier. They did credit the cost of the original part, but I still had to pay hundreds more because of the additional labor and related costs. They then requested another diagnostic fee before continuing. After that, I was quoted an additional $2,500 to complete the repair, bringing the total to $4,800. I declined the repair and asked to pay my bill so I could take my car elsewhere. I was then told they would not reassemble the vehicle because I “didn’t pay for that service.” My car was returned not drivable, with dirty, greasy parts placed in the passenger seat, back seat, and trunk. However, my final interaction was the most disappointing. After I clearly stated multiple times that I had decided not to continue with the repair, an employee spent about 20 minutes trying to convince me otherwise. He suggested that if I spent the additional $2,500, I could trade the car in afterward and possibly get around $5,000 for it. I asked him, “Can you promise me that?” His answer was no. At that point, I simply wanted to pay my bill and leave, but the conversation continued. He also called my father in an attempt to persuade me to move forward with the repair. I had only authorized them to contact my father ONCE for a specific issue, NOT to discuss financial decisions. The first visit gave me a great impression. The second visit showed me they had inconsistent communication, high pricing, pressure to authorize additional repairs after I had already declined, and a vehicle returned in pieces. Based on my experience, I would not return or recommend this shop.

Newman's Automotive is the BEST in town. Their customer service is unparalleled, David Newman himself gave me a ride back to my apartment after dropping off my truck for service. Next level customer care and it's genuine. The team at Newmans Automotive are phenomenal, my vehicle has never been treated better and they always provide transparency and are incredibly fair on price. I am only going to recommend Newmans Automotive moving forward and I will never go anywhere else. Thank you to David, Nelly, Jace, and the rest of the team for taking care of me, I sincerely appreciate all of you.

Very friendly customer service from all members, I was offered a loaner car which was very appreciated as the order for the tires was going to be fulfilled next day. Car was worked on first thing and ready by noon. Also they have an amazing fishtank to watch at the waiting area! I will come back for other services.

This was my first visit, and I had a 3:30pm appointment for an oil change. The staff — especially Mike — was friendly, welcoming, and quick to understand what I needed. Everyone I interacted with seemed knowledgeable and professional. The only downside was the wait time. The oil change took nearly two hours, and there was no communication about the delay. I noticed a couple of other customers experiencing the same thing, so I assumed they might have been short-staffed. Clearer updates or transparency about wait times would have made a big difference. If the communication matched the level of service, this would easily have been a five‑star experience.

I’ve been coming to Newman’s Automotive for about three years now and wouldn’t take my car anywhere else. Randy is incredible—honest, reliable, and always takes the time to explain everything in a way that actually makes sense. The service is always quick and fairly priced. Highly recommend.
