If you’re looking for fresh Vietnamese takeout in Irvine, CA, Newport Express is a sandwich shop worth knowing. Located at 17951 Sky Park Cir Unit F inside the Smart Kitchens facility, this local spot has earned a strong 4.5 rating from early reviewers who appreciate flavorful food, solid portions, and convenient ordering. For people searching for Vietnamese food in Irvine without making the drive farther out, Newport Express stands out as a practical and satisfying choice for lunch, dinner, or a quick pickup during the week.

What makes Newport Express memorable is the way it brings together familiar Vietnamese favorites with a slightly modern touch while keeping the food fresh and approachable. Reviewers specifically mention the banh mi, shrimp spring rolls, beef spring rolls, and house special vermicelli, along with garlic shrimp, steak, and a spring mix salad with filet mignon. Garlic noodles also get praise, showing that the menu goes beyond a basic sandwich stop. For drinks, bottled Thai tea, Vietnamese coffee, and strawberry citrus infusion tea add easy pairings that work well for a complete takeout meal.

The overall experience sounds especially well suited for people who want reliable to-go Vietnamese food in Irvine. Customers describe the dishes as fresh, flavorful, authentic, and beautifully presented, with reasonable prices and generous portions. That makes this a good fit for office workers in the area, coworkers grabbing a shared meal, and anyone who wants a convenient weekday lunch or early dinner. Because the business operates inside a ghost kitchen setting, ordering online may be the smoothest option, and several reviewers clearly see it as a go-to takeout stop rather than a traditional dine-in restaurant.

As a sandwich shop in Irvine, California, Newport Express also appeals to diners who want variety. While banh mi can be the starting point, the menu appears broad enough for different cravings, from light spring rolls to hearty vermicelli bowls and savory seafood or steak dishes. That flexibility is part of the appeal: one person can keep it simple with a sandwich and Vietnamese coffee, while another can build a more filling meal with noodles, protein, and a drink. The food seems designed for convenience without losing the character people look for in Vietnamese cuisine.

Open Monday through Friday from 11:00 to 20:00, Saturday from 11:00 to 16:00, and Sunday from 14:00 to 20:00, Newport Express offers a useful schedule for both workday meals and casual weekend takeout. For locals and nearby workers searching for Vietnamese sandwiches, spring rolls, garlic shrimp, or vermicelli in Irvine, CA, this is a spot that has already made a positive impression. Fresh flavors, dependable portions, and easy takeout are the reasons people are remembering Newport Express and coming back for more.

Newport Lobster Express is a great place to get Vietnamese Take-out. It's inside a "ghost Kitchen" Facility called Smart Kitchens. The best way to order from them is ONLINE via their ordering page. I'm sure the link in on their profile. I enjoyed their spring mix salad with filet mignon, garlic noodles with lemongrass chicken, and skewers with asparagus and mushrooms. Everything is awesome. I've eaten there quite a bit and it's always consistent. Irvines best Vietnamese take out.

I recently visited Newport Express Vietnamese Cuisine, and it quickly became one of my new favorite spots! The food is absolutely spectacular—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented with a creative twist that perfectly blends traditional Vietnamese dishes with modern fusion elements. Every bite felt thoughtful and elevated, from the vibrant spring rolls to the rich, aromatic pho and perfectly grilled meats. What really sets this place apart is the owners. They are incredibly conscientious and clearly pour their hearts into providing the best possible experience. You can tell they care deeply about the quality of ingredients, the authenticity of flavors, and making every guest feel welcome. The service was warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly—exactly what you want when exploring great cuisine. If you’re a fan of Vietnamese food or just looking for something delicious and a little different, check out Newport Express. You won’t be disappointed—I’m already planning my next visit! Highly recommend.

Randomly found them when I walked into the smart kitchen. Seemed fairly new. Ordered and did not disappoint. Food was really good and really authentic. Definitely my go to so I don’t have to drive all the way to Westminster for good Vietnamese food. Price is reasonable. Portions are great. Will be back to try their other items.
