Nestled along the bustling corridor of Mills Avenue, Ngọc Hà Vietnamese Restaurant has quickly earned a loyal following among diners seeking home-style Vietnamese comfort food in Orlando, FL. Located at 831 N Mills Ave, this family-owned restaurant welcomes patrons with warm hospitality and a genuine passion for authentic Southeast Asian recipes. From the moment you step through the doors, the atmosphere feels clean, tidy, and inviting, making it an easy favorite for local residents, busy professionals seeking a satisfying midday meal, and visitors exploring the diverse Central Florida dining scene.
What truly distinguishes Ngọc Hà Vietnamese Restaurant from other casual eateries in town is its uncompromising approach to scratch cooking. The owner takes personal pride in baking her own baguettes from scratch every day, ensuring every loaf emerges with a delicate, paper-thin crispy crust and a light, pillowy interior. This artisanal bread serves as the foundation for their widely celebrated bánh mì, particularly the loaded Bánh Mì Đặc Biệt that comes piled generously with savory meats, fresh cucumber, cilantro, and crisp pickled vegetables. Regulars also frequently pair these sandwiches with the kitchen's velvety egg coffee, a rich and frothy treat that offers a rare and delightful caffeine pairing in Orlando.
Beyond sandwiches, the kitchen crafts a diverse lineup of classic Vietnamese favorites made fresh to order. Starters like the savory fried rice cake deliver deeply nostalgic street-food textures with crisp edges and soft centers, while the seasoned fried chicken wings arrive piping hot, crunchy, and well seasoned. For main courses, guests frequently return for the tender shaking beef (bò lúc lắc), flavorful sizzling beef platters (bò chảo), and generous vermicelli bowls topped with marinated grilled pork and crispy egg rolls (bún chả giò thịt nướng). Lighter options such as fresh summer rolls are thoughtfully rolled with a satisfying balance of noodles, proteins, and fresh garden herbs.
Generous portions and approachable pricing make dining here accessible whether you are sitting down for a relaxed weekday lunch or grabbing a quick weekend dinner to go. The dining space remains comfortable and orderly, supported by friendly staff members dedicated to sharing honest home cooking. Ngọc Hà Vietnamese Restaurant operates Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM, remaining closed on Tuesdays. For anyone searching for handcrafted baguettes, comforting beef platters, and authentic Vietnamese culinary traditions in Orlando, FL, this neighborhood destination provides a memorable experience worth revisiting.

This place is delicious! Everything was fresh, taste was on point and the owner was super kind. She makes all the bread herself and you can taste the love. The Banh Mi was delicious and probably the best I’ve had in Orlando. I highly recommend the Fried Rice Cake. It was so so good and we shared it with everyone on our table. Absolutely can’t wait to come back. The brown sugar boba was top!
Enjoyed the food and service. The Shaking Beef was so tender and savory…steamed rice wasn’t the most fresh so I’ll go with fries or penne next time. Fried chicken wings were freshly out of the grease and perfectly crunchy and seasoned. …
Hands down best banh mi & egg coffee combo in Central Florida, and I have had them all! All of their meats are very high quality, perfectly cooked, and piled high on their very authentic light & crispy baguette! If I lived closer I could eat here basically daily and always be happy!
Clean restaurant and delicious food but the service needs a bit more training. We ordered Bo Chao, Bun cha gio thit nuong, and 2 Banh mi dac biet. We told the server we’re eating the bo chao and bun for here and then taking the banh mi to go but they ended up packing everything to go even after giving us waters to eat for here. For the banh mi, we also wanted veggies to be packed on the side (very normal request so that banh mi can be eaten later without being soggy), they brought us a bag with 2 banh mi with no bag of veggies in site. I eventually went up to ask about it and they had given us someone else’s banh mi order on accident. After we got all of our food, the owner came back out to check that all the food in our bag was correct. Other than all the service situations…the bread here is phenomenal and the portions are very well-sized. Banh mi was packed with meat and so was our bo chao and bun. Flavor was good and loved all the condiments offered at the table. Vegetables and herbs were all fresh as well!
Decent Vietnamese food but nothing amazing. I did appreciate that their summer rolls had a good balance between meat, noodles, and herbs/vegetables. The peanut dipping sauce wasn't the best. Portions are very generous, and prices are reasonable. Service was friendly. Probably won't be back.
