They describe care that feels attentive rather than needlessly rushed, and they value clear medical guidance for questions that arise in routine care.
Specific accounts illustrate what individual patients appreciated. One reviewer says Dr. Parikh considered their condition, prescribed a steroid, and they reported being able to walk within two days; that reviewer also says the result made two scheduled shoulder operations unnecessary. This is one patient's experience, not a promise of a particular outcome, but it reflects feedback praising her clinical judgment and responsiveness. Another patient describes four years of care and values Dr. Parikh's concern for their overall health. Medical needs and treatment decisions always differ by person.
Patients also note practical details that can matter when arranging care. Video appointments have been available to some patients when their usual primary-care provider in the same group was unavailable, and one reviewer found Dr. Parikh kind, attentive, and knowledgeable in that setting. A reviewer also credits Dr. Parikh and the medical assistant with helping explain insurance coverage and how to work within a plan. These comments suggest a team that can help patients understand visit-related questions, while individual coverage and appointment availability should be confirmed directly.
Feedback is not entirely uniform: one patient felt a visit was perfunctory and wished for more empathy or interest. Sharing that perspective alongside the positive reviews helps set realistic expectations. Nikie R Parikh, M.D. may suit Berkeley adults seeking an internist for weekday care, conversations about overall health, and a provider reviewers often characterize as thoughtful and efficient. Before booking, prospective patients can confirm whether the office's schedule, visit format, and insurance arrangements fit their own needs. Sign in to reviewI have been a patient of Dr. Parikh for the last 4 years and I'm very pleased with her. She always show concern about my overall health. She's very pleasant to talk to and gives good medical advice. I'm very happy that she was referred to me and I pray that the Lord will continue to bless her in all of her endeavors.
Dr. Parikh is the doctor you want to have. She got me out a bind (I couldn't walk) and by prescribing a steroid got me walking within 2 days and eliminated the need for me to have 2 scheduled shoulder operations. She is kind, her office is on time, and thorough. Super smart.
Dr. Parikh always takes the time to listen to my concerns and thoughtfully address them. She’s efficient but doesn’t seem rushed. And both she and the medical assistant are helpful in informing me about what my insurance will cover and how to best work within my plan. I’m grateful for the care she provides.
The visit felt very perfunctory. She seemed generally unconcerned and in a hurry. I think a little more empathy or interest would help her be a more effective provider.
I have had a number of video appointments with Dr. Parikh when my PCP in the group has not been available, and Dr. Parikh has always been kind, attentive and knowledgeable.
