About
Noodle & Pho Era is listed on FindALoco in Berkeley, CA with address, phone, hours, and map location. Common services and related keywords include Asian Restaurant.
Noodle & Pho Era is an Asian restaurant at 2517 Durant Ave Ste A in Berkeley, CA, with a daytime menu built around noodle soups, pho, dumplings, and small plates. For diners looking for Asian food in Berkeley or a lunch stop along Durant Avenue, the restaurant opens daily from 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Customer feedback is limited but notably varied, making it useful to consider both the praised dishes and the reported concerns before deciding what to order.
Pho is the clearest signature dish in the reviews. One guest described a flavorful broth, a giant rib bone, and a generous amount of meat, calling the pho among the best they had tried. That same review spoke positively of the potstickers and chicken wings. Other visitors mentioned braised beef noodles, tom yum noodle soup, spicy wontons, dumplings, and braised green beans; while one customer liked the green beans, others reported bland flavors, overcooked noodles, or disappointing dumpling and wonton preparation. These differences suggest that individual dish choices may shape the experience.
With its daily lunch-only hours, Noodle & Pho Era is most relevant for an early-afternoon meal rather than dinner. The available comments give only a small view of its atmosphere, but a reviewer described the service as friendly, while another praised both the food and service. Those favorable accounts sit alongside reports of cold, greasy beef pancake and a disappointing dumpling order. Its 2.8 rating from 12 reviews reflects that mixed response. Rather than treating a single review as definitive, prospective guests can use this range of experiences to set practical expectations for a casual lunch visit.
Diners with dietary needs should confirm ingredients and preparation directly before ordering. In particular, one reviewer said that vegetarian spring rolls arrived with fish sauce and a shrimp-tasting filling, and reported becoming ill afterward; their partner also reported illness. This is an individual customer account, not a verified finding about the restaurant, but it is important context for vegetarians and anyone avoiding seafood. Asking about sauces, fillings, and possible cross-contact is a sensible step when choosing vegetarian items. Clear communication with staff can help a party select dishes that fit its needs.
Noodle & Pho Era may suit Berkeley diners who want to explore pho, noodle soups, or shareable sides during a midday visit and who value checking details with staff. Guests interested in the positively reviewed pho, potstickers, chicken wings, or green beans may find useful starting points in the feedback. At the same time, the uneven reviews make current-menu questions and ingredient confirmation especially worthwhile. For a Berkeley, California Asian restaurant lunch, this straightforward approach supports an informed choice based on the dishes and requirements that matter most to each guest.

Sign in to reviewWent with my partner and we both got vegetarian dishes. Ordered the veggie spring rolls and they came with fish sauce and a shrimp tasting filling. Two hours later I got very sick and that evening my partner did as well. Thanks for ruining our weekend 👍
Do not go here if you want authentic viet/pho. Food are not good. Paid $18 for bowl of instant ramen (tom yum noodle soup)… was not expecting instant ramen until I lift the noodles out! Braised beef noodles is bland and noodles are overcooked. Spicy wontons are sad little meatballs wrapped in wonton skin. Worse $80 spent!
This place used to have delicious dumplings, so we ordered some from their new menu, but we were disappointed. The beef in the pancake was cold, and they were greasy. The rest of the dumplings were just as poor. The only thing good was the braised green beans. I don't think we'll be back. What used to be a really hopping spot was dead. It's too bad because I gladly would have paid a little bit more for those delicious dumplings.
AMAZING!!!! The pho is one of the best I’ve had. Flavorful broth with giant rib bone and large portion of meat. Potstickers and chicken wings are also very good. The service was friendly.
Amazing food! Amazing service! We’d love to come again! Super authentic food.
