Dr.Gurrapu is the best PCP. I was sick 15 days ago . Did not feel better after the first visit. Had taken an appointment with her NP who is also awesome, but when DR. Gurrapu saw me at the front desk not feeling well she herself took the time to see me personally. I really appreciate her for being so caring about her patients. Awesome doctor and great team to go to.
Went in for a wellness exam that should be covered 100% by my insurance, ended up being charged $100+ without any consent of service given. $75 visit fee + $30 for the extra labs. Quoting the billing department of this place: “if you go in for a wellness exam, you cannot mention you have any issues like coughing or leg pain. And the doctor doesn’t need to ask for your consent whether or not you need the extra services.” So you better be healthy as a bull to get a wellness check here, otherwise they’ll just work on you and charge you up.
We have been seeing Dr. Yamuna Gurrapu as our primary care doctor for many years, and we are truly grateful for her care. She is friendly, compassionate, and highly knowledgeable. She always takes the time to listen carefully to concerns, explains things clearly, and makes thoughtful, well-informed medical decisions. We never feel rushed during appointments, which means a lot to our family. The staff at North Texas Medical Clinic are also very helpful, kind, and caring. They create a welcoming and supportive environment every time we visit. We highly recommend Dr. Gurrapu and her team to anyone looking for excellent primary care.
Dr.Gurrapu prescribed me a 30%+ treatment that is NON FDA approved, costs $600 out of pocket because it's non FDA approved, and otc options were only $2. She proceeded to investigate me rather than read what I came in for and wasted my whole day to pick up this medicine that had a crazy price tag. Atrocious she didn't even know what I came for when she walked in the room. I called the office and they did not handle the situation well at all. Do not recommend for people who take their time and money seriously. Also allegedly saw a sign for 5 star reviews in exchange for free products.
I receive excellent care from Dr. Gurrapu and her team. The follow-up with patients is outstanding, responses to messages in the portal or by phone timely. I see many different specialists and Dr. Gurrapu is helping ensure they don't conflict. I highly recommend North Texas Medical Center.
