Completely disappointed in them today. My daughter is an established patient of this practice and she’s 9, almost 10. We’ve been coming since her first infant visits. She’s been seeing PA Woodley regularly every few months for nearly two years since her ADHD diagnosis. I call to make an appointment today with PA Woodley to be told - much to my surprise - she’s no longer with the practice. When I asked if they knew where she went, the scheduler on the phone stated that “we don’t know where she is. She just left.” Then I was told I could make an appointment with Dr. X or NP Y. She actually didn’t “just leave.” According to NVPA’s Instagram page - which I found via Google - PA Woodley left at the end of March and the office had a good-bye party for her. And yet, no one at the practice thought to inform her patients she was departing — which I find to be unprofessional and a complete lack of patient courtesy. I would have appreciated being informed in advance so I had the knowledge to make the right and best decisions for my daughter going forward. It is just not as simple as substituting a new provider. Nor is informing patients outside the reasonable bounds of clinic practice or patient courtesy — over the years, both my husband and I have received letters/notice when some of our medical providers are retiring or leaving a practice. With PA Woodley’s departure, we will be figuring out our next steps. And it is likely to be moving to a new practice. There are lots of options for pediatric care and NVPA doesn’t provide compelling reasons to stay with PA Woodley’s departure and their poor handling of it to patients.
In all honesty I am an old codger and do not have any babies to bring here-- but I am writing to say this firm has a most excellent community and honoring spirit! My daughter, a codger in training- and our doggies-- attended the Memorial Day parade yesterday- the first booth we encountered was festively decorated with American colors and a wonderful bubble machine! The Entry of this business was skillfully decorated in their large planter pots with red white and blue arrangements and sparkles! The firm had a table of employees who were so wonderfully welcoming and nice and handed us each an American Flag type hand fan paddle and a red white and blue whirly gig!! The fan paddles were the life savers of the day for our doggies and ourselves!! We waved to the parade with them and fanned ourselves proudly and profusely!! Both items were of very sturdy construction and are ready for re use for Fourth of July !! The office attached their business cards to the tokens! As a former Marketing Coordinator I can tell you this was genius and the items were of very good quality which I believe would reflect in their business ethics and practices-- they wanted their name to show as STRONG QUALITY AND ETHICS AND A STRONG SENSE OF LOCAL AND NATIONAL COMMUNITY!! WELL DONE!! Our first encounter of the parade experience set the tone for our day!! We decorated the inside of our car putting the whirly gigs in the air vents! How much fun they created by these small tokens -- Lastly, being a Southern gal- I LOVE MY MAGNOLIAS-- doggies and daughter and I went to smell the beautiful blooming tree in the back corner of their parking lot-- a wonderful strong , well cared for Magnolia , I might add! To our surprise, we read the small, but important plaque, based at the bottom of the tree-- the office planted this magnolia in honor of a close staff member years ago-- how loving!! EXACTLY TO MY POINT-- NOVA PEDIATRICS ASSOCIATES -- has heart- spirit ethics and honor for the people they work with, the community they serve and the Nation they love. How could anyone go wrong under their care?!! Little things make such a big impact-- THANK YOU all for making our day very special and standing out as a rarity of American pride and community on Memorial Day! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Clean and well organized pediatric clinic. They have their own laboratory. Nurses are friendly and the admin staffs. The doctors service is exceptional especially Dr. Atiyeh. They practice safety because they’re still wearing mask and it’s required to wear a mask upon visits.
We have been going to this practice for 13 years. Both of our children have had positive experiences here. The on site lab is extremely convenient for working parents. All of the doctors are great, though Dr Kelly was in a class of her own and we miss her dearly.
Doctors are very good but staff can be rude and disorganized. We see Dr. Henrikson, who is excellent and the best pediatrician we found after seeing multiple doctors in the Northern Virginia area. I only wish they would hire front desk …
