WARNING TO HOMEBUYERS IN SOUTH CAROLINA (501 / SC AREA) ⚠️ I strongly advise staying away from Realtor Eve Mahon. While she initially comes off as friendly to gain your trust, her professional conduct quickly deteriorates into manipulation, poor communication, and blatant self-interest. During our time working with her, we experienced numerous red flags: • Unprofessional Conduct: She attempted to drive a wedge between my husband and me, whispering inappropriate remarks to get us to rush into a purchase before we were financially ready. • Hostile Attitude: If you stand your ground or don't follow her timeline, she becomes visibly cold, pouts during showings, and creates an uncomfortable, high-pressure environment. She is highly inflexible with scheduling, showing irritation over minor traffic delays on Hwy 501. • Hidden Agendas & Poor Negotiation: She aggressively pushed a specific "urgent seller" home on us. We did our homework and discovered she had a personal agreement tied to the house, which was realtor-owned and being flipped for an unreasonable price. When we refused to overpay, she completely went silent on us for 1-2 days. • Costly Negligence: Because she delayed paperwork and decided to "sleep on it" rather than submit an offer on a home we actually loved, we completely missed out on the property. • Behind-the-Back Drama: While slacking on her official duties, she was busy talking about our situation to a mutual friend behind our backs. The Outcome: The moment I officially dismissed her, we hired a respectful, responsive professional. Within hours, our new agent showed us a home, helped us submit an offer, and got it accepted. Do not let Eve Mahon subject you to irrational power struggles or manipulate you into buying homes that only benefit her or her friends. Avoid her at all costs. Also after you leaving her a review on another location , she further got out of control and went as far as to Facebook stalk me , leaving threatening messages, meanwhile we are not friends on it .

EVE MAHON may fit your needs and that's perfectly fine. Everyone is compatible with a different personality type, but beware if the below is not your bag when it comes to a realtor. I am not saying don't work with EVE. You make your own choice. In my experience, Eve is a bully seller who will give you a lot of headache and slow rolls houses she didn't recommend so other offers can get in first if you don't buy fast enough for her AND choose the house she recommends. Expect to always be suggested 1-2 additional properties outside the one you asked for every time. Perhaps there is some personal financial incentive there (this is SUSPICION only and not confirmed, but, makes one think based on behaviors), but my experience was this every single time (and they were, not always, but, usually not the greatest houses either with a lot of TLC needed). Once she gets angry that buyers aren't buying the houses she wants them to buy when she wants them to buy it, she becomes extremely hostile and unprofessional as well. It was very surprising to see that type of behavior out of a supposed businesswoman under any circumstances that did not involve personal threats (of which NONE were ever given at any time by either Eve or us - full transparancy, which made it even more shocking and unexpected. I hope it wasn't because of hard questions asked to ensure my family wasn't getting a raw deal). If you need to vent, thats for your friends and spouse - not your customers. I deal in business only that is in the best interests of my family. If you're quick to buy, she will be great and does work hard to get a decent deal for you even if she always pushes you towards the houses she recommends. In complete fairness, I never had them inspected and they could have certainly been sound houses in the end even if major TLC needed on most, but those sales are for contractors, not a family and it's very concerning to, to me anyway, that these always have to be viewed as well. But, if you're not absolutely ready and beginning your searches, I recommend someone with a lot more patience and understanding that this is just how the real estate market works in a buyer's market. People sometimes take years to buy. If slow sale movement is becoming an issue, that's something to take up with local politicians and their investments in the real estate market here, not your prospective buyers. It isn't your buyers that do not provide the necessary economic opportunity to afford a standard home around here without extremely careful planning. It was the perpetuation of doubled house prices pretty much overnight, stagnant wages left ignored by the people elected and a fantasy that the retiree demographic would prop up the entire economy forever when horry county is one of TONS of places people retire to. Hence why the system is crumbling at the seams as the initial herd-dopamine hits of rushing here from NY and NJ and throwing their money at you were long gone years ago . Look to you elected officials who did this for answers. Again, she's excellent for fast sales that align with her expected timeline and preferred home to sell as stated above and yes she will negotiate for you so she's legit if you fit her expectations. Just know she believes she's the one in charge here, not you. If that's you, you may not go wrong here. If not, look elsewhere. Also Dont be a second late to a showing even if you are coming from an area stuck in 501 random traffic. It's not your schedule or unexpected events that matters, its hers and hers only. I will not respond to any comments left in response to this. My review was fair and highlights the positives, negatives and TRUTHS of my experience and I am sure you know exactly who I am. Go against your intuition and just let the market decide. We moved on. We're closing very soon with someone far more professional, believe that. You asked us to "screw off" in writing in the end and we were thankful for that as stated because we were long finished with you too. NEVER contact us again. That is not a request.

Absolutely abysmally low experience from the buyer’s point of view. Robin Ferreira was the listing agent. She and her agency did not have the house keys ready at signing, did not remove the realtor’s locks (house and garage) from the property, and did not remove the sale sign until requested multiple times at over two weeks after closing. She did not ensure the two-week period to correct deficiencies was honored (still hasn’t been), and the party to show up to replace windows was not licensed and consisted of migrant workers with a translator.

Jonathan Hill was absolutely fantastic! He was kind, patient, responsive, and an all around a wonderful person to work with. He walked with me through every step of the journey, and answered all my questions, no matter how ridiculous. I wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone looking to purchase property in the area!

Jinette is a wonderful real estate agent. She is very prompt, detailed, and very professional in her field. I highly recommend her to anyone in the state that’s looking for a first class realtor when purchasing land, and/or a home. Thanks Jinette!
