Nurse Lavinia's Adult Family Home

My Mom spent a year & half under the care of Lavinia & Nichole. The experience was wonderful. We moved her from a larger facility that didn't provide very good care. We found the care at Nurse Lavinia's to be very hands on & I always felt that Mom was well cared for while living there. The communication between myself & Lavinia was excellent. She & Nichole would let me know any concerns. Mom was always clean and I could tell by the way she acted, she felt very comfortable living there. I couldn't have found a better place for her remaining days. When someone has dementia, it's very important to find kind, loving caretakers who can anticipate elderly needs. This is the place for any family member who needs loving care & can't care for themselves. I highly recommend both of their homes.

My Father spent the last 8 months of his life in this wonderful home. Lavinia and Peter are compassionate caregivers that were given a skill that not many people have. The skill is the ability to work with Alzheimer's and Dementia patients and treat them with the dignity and respect they all deserve despite their different abilities. We were no longer able to take care of Dad the way he needed to be and from day 1 not only did he become part of their family, but we did too. Never once did we feel awkward visiting him in "someone else's house" like I thought I would. They were also very good with my Mom and her transition from caregiver to visitor. I would 100% recommend this home to you or your loved ones.

My mom moved to Lavinia's about a year ago. When she arrived her dementia was very severe and she had had a series of health issues during the previous year. We honestly didn't think she had much time left. With the care, compassion, and routine Lavina provides for the ladies in her home my mom has improved greatly. She is alert, conversational, happy, and able to feel at peace. Lavinia has been a true blessing in our family's life. We know that my mom will never regain her memory but her last years will be spent being well cared for and loved like family.

I highly recommend Nurse Lavinia's Home. Our mom had advance Dementia and was very confused. We knew that a smaller environment would be the best choice for her. Nurse Lavinia and Nicole took excellent care of mom. Always keeping us informed and addressing any concerns. We are so grateful for everything they did for mom. They truly are very loving and caring.
