One Spa

I’ve now visited One Spa two times. I’ve experienced the 90-minute facial as well as the scalp massage/treatment. Both were wonderful. Both technicians were delightful… kind, informative and extremely thankful for the business. Both answered all my post-treatment questions with ease and I never felt rushed. The 90-minute facial was unlike any I’ve ever received and I am a facial lover! The experience was customized for my skin’s needs. I’ve never had someone use so many products and then not try to sell me the whole slew. In fact, I was surprised to learn at the end, they don’t sell products. The treatments are truly for the betterment and health of your skin, not the after sale. This is a spa that takes their work seriously and also takes great pride in the treatments they offer. I have already scheduled my next facial!

I've been here a few times now, and I absolutely love this place! I know they offer many services and I still need to try them all out, but I have only gotten the scalp massage and wash and neck and shoulder package that groupon offers and each time it was absolutely amazing! Honestly it's better than a full body massage many spa places offer in my opinion. the level of relaxation you feel from the scalp massage is next level! when i need a real wind me down and self care day I would choose this service over a swedish or deep tissue massage for sure! if you have not tried this place out yet and you live in the area you seriously need to go like today!

Wonderful experience. This has been my second visit doing a headspa and it’s incredible! My specialist was fully aware of different massage techniques and it was way more than just a scalp cleansing, it was truly a wellness and relaxation experience. I will be back!

The scalp massage itself was very nice, and the specialist was kind and accommodating. I'm giving 3 stars because if a business advertises scalp treatments performed by a "specialist," I expect that specialist to have at least a basic understanding of how to work with all hair types, including Black textured hair. Textured hair is different...not bad or difficult, just different from straight hair. The techniques that work for straight hair don't always apply. For example, attempting to detangle textured hair while it's dry can cause unnecessary breakage and discomfort... to the scalp! I don't expect every specialist to be an expert in textured hair styling. However, if someone is presented as a scalp treatment specialist, they should understand how different hair types and scalp needs may require different approaches. That knowledge should be part of the training. I hope the company invests in professional development so every specialist has the basic education needed to confidently and respectfully work with ALL clients. That would create a much better experience for everyone.
