I absolutely love coming to this salon! The space is so beautiful and clean, and the staff is always welcoming. I have had my hair done by Juls multiple times and she never disappoints! I fully trust her to take creative control and I always walk out loving my hair. Would recommend her to anyone looking for someone in Philly!

Can I leave a review above 5 stars? Everything about this salon and the stylists is excellent! They say it’s the people that really make a difference, and that is absolutely true. The people here are so kind, knowledgeable, and artistic. You can really trust them to create a hairstyle you’re not just proud of, but that you’ll get stopped and complimented on frequently. The customer service is fantastic, especially with a salon. Everything is highly organized, fluid, and creates an overall positive experience. I’m always offered drinks and a snack as I sit in the beautifully decorated waiting area. My coat and bag are always carefully hung up and the salon is so clean, gorgeous, and modern. As for the stylists, I’ve seen the quality of work that these highly-professional artists have done for years in that they have worked beside my stylist while I get my hair done, and their work is always top tier. As for me, I go to Nina. She is kind, very talented, and absolutely gives a cool girl vibe that she is too humble to realize she has. I’ve been going to her since 2021 and she has always gone above and beyond. Something I love about all of these stylists, and especially Nina, is despite how talented they are, I see them continuing to still push themselves to stay up to date on things in the industry and continuing to try creative new styles and continuing to better themselves. I’m always impressed by their work ethic. Every time I leave the salon I know my hair will look fantastic and that I will be complimented everywhere I go. So, yes, 5 stars for Opal & Boa. 🐍 🖤

I’ve been following Kay for years, so it was exciting to see her bring all of her talent, experience, and vision into her own salon. Opal & Boa is a beautiful reflection of everything she does so well. The space is absolutely gorgeous, stylish, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed. The level of expertise is second to none. Every visit feels relaxed and personalized, and I always leave loving my hair. I’m so happy to see this dream become a reality. Highly recommend!
