Oregon Market is an Asian grocery store at 320 Oregon Ave in Philadelphia, PA 19148, serving shoppers looking for ingredients and grocery items that can be hard to find at a conventional supermarket. Customers describe a large store with a broad selection and reasonable prices, making it a useful neighborhood stop for everyday shopping as well as for tracking down a particular pantry staple. The store is open daily, Monday through Sunday, from 8:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., so shoppers can plan a visit throughout the week.

The selection includes distinctive grocery items such as rice paper, which one customer bought for making vegan chorizo, and Cambodian rice, noted by another reviewer. These examples reflect the kind of specialty ingredients that can help home cooks prepare familiar recipes or explore something new. Shoppers also mention kimchi among the products available. Rather than relying on a short list of signature dishes or prepared foods, Oregon Market is best understood as a grocery destination where customers can browse a varied inventory and choose what suits their own cooking and household needs.

Produce is a recurring reason customers visit. Reviewers praise its freshness and say they have found the quality better than at large, nationally branded grocery stores. Customers also mention fresh and frozen meat, giving shoppers more than one option when planning meals. The store’s size and range of inventory are appreciated by people who want to compare products and pick up several types of groceries in one place. Experiences can differ, as some reviews raise concerns about cashier attentiveness and careful bag handling, so it is helpful to check purchases before leaving.

With a 4.0 rating from 437 reviews, Oregon Market has drawn feedback from shoppers with different priorities. Positive comments highlight its produce, selection, value, and recently refreshed, clean appearance. The varied reviews offer a practical picture: many customers appreciate having a sizable Asian grocery store in the neighborhood, while some describe service interactions they would like to see improved. For a straightforward local search, it is a Philadelphia grocery option for specialty ingredients, Asian grocery items, produce, and fresh or frozen meat.

Oregon Market may suit home cooks seeking ingredients beyond a standard supermarket’s usual range, shoppers looking for rice paper or Cambodian rice, and neighborhood residents who value a large store with varied inventory. Its location on Oregon Avenue makes it a convenient option for people shopping in the surrounding Philadelphia area. Visit during its daily 8:30 a.m.–7:30 p.m. hours to browse the selection and check current availability in person. Whether you are planning a specific recipe or replenishing groceries, the store offers a practical place to look for Asian grocery staples and fresh food in South Philadelphia.

This store is an excellent option to find those unique items that are not typically available in your usual grocery store. I visited this place specifically to buy rice paper for making my own vegan chorizo, and I was impressed by the vast selection they offer at very reasonable prices. In addition to that, I also bought a high-quality mesh strainer for only 3 dollars - what a steal! I really appreciate the diverse range of products they carry, including fresh produce, a wide array of noodles, an abundance of dry mushrooms, and various types of tofu. The staff members are friendly, although communication can be a bit challenging due to language barriers, especially since I do not speak Vietnamese.

I love coming here for produce. They typically have better quality produce over the big name branded grocery stores. I also like that the store is a very big size and has a lot of different inventory. Overall, I am happy to have this grocery store in my neighborhood and I hope it always stays.
