Orlando Chinatown is a vibrant shopping mall and commercial destination located along West Colonial Drive in Orlando, FL. Recognized by its traditional arched gateway, this bustling retail square serves as a focal point for East and Southeast Asian goods, culinary favorites, and essential local services. Designed as an expansive open-air plaza with generous free parking, it offers residents and visitors an accessible, one-stop setting to stock up on specialty groceries, enjoy regional dishes, or complete practical everyday errands without the hassle of navigating congested downtown corridors.

Food lovers will find a diverse collection of dining venues throughout the plaza, spanning Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, and Asian-fusion flavors. Visitors can sit down for authentic all-day dim sum at long-running favorites like East Garden, order steaming noodle soups, or pick up roasted specialties and savory entrees prepared with traditional techniques. Freshly baked buns, pastries, and egg tarts are available at the on-site bakeries, while neighboring bubble tea shops provide refreshing boba drinks and fruit teas. The casual and welcoming atmosphere makes the plaza especially suited for leisurely weekend lunches, family dinners, and quick midday cravings.

At the center of the complex are well-stocked Asian supermarkets that draw home cooks and professional chefs from across Central Florida. Shoppers have access to an enormous inventory of authentic ingredients, ranging from hard-to-find sauces and pantry staples to crisp specialty produce. The live seafood market is a major draw, featuring tanks filled with live fish and shellfish that ensure peak freshness for family meals and celebratory cooking. In addition to groceries, the plaza accommodates specialized stores, including commercial restaurant supply outlets, Chinese herbal medicine shops, and budget-friendly discount stores that carry unique household items.

Beyond food and retail shopping, the plaza houses a range of personal care and wellness services. Patrons can take advantage of therapeutic massage centers and local medical offices, making it convenient to address wellness needs in the same trip. While individual storefront operating hours may vary, the general commercial center welcomes visitors daily from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM, giving patrons plenty of flexibility throughout the week.

Whether you are hunting for rare pantry seasonings, picking out live seafood, catching up with friends over dim sum, or simply exploring Asian food culture, this West Colonial hub delivers everyday utility, genuine character, and unmatched variety under one roof.

Complete shopping center full of Chinese, Korean restaurants, delicious bakaries, massage and medical services, a huge store with all kind of original products, a dollar store and so many other stores and services! It was an awesome experience. Will definitely come back with more time, money and when it's warmer.

Semi-outdated Chinatown square with plenty of free parkings and empty spaces. Couple oriental markets, Chinese restaurant supply stores, Chinese medicine store, bakery shop, decent selection of restaurants.

It's pretty much a very unorganized Chinatown here in Orlando. This place pretty much you have the large gate that you pass under and what it is. It looks like at one time it was a large shopping center which kind of faded away so to speak. And obviously a lot of Chinese businesses began buying in to the empty spaces and you've got some really excellent Chinese restaurants there. Now I do want to warn you if you're not experienced with truly ethnic Chinese food, some of the food might kind of scare you. You know things like tripe chickens feed things along that line. But we stopped at this one place and we had Dim Sum served all day so we figured hey that's great, we love Dim Sum. We had a lot of the usual favorites that we get up in Chinatown up in Boston. It was very similar with some slight flavor differences from the dim sum dishes had up in the Boston area or up in Montreal for that fact. Prices were extremely reasonable for the three of us that came out to less than $60 and I mean we walked away very very full. Dim sum kind of loosely translates to places of the heart and you're supposed to have like small portions. It's more of a socializing thing but the problem with most Americans when we go out for dinner so we go out and we pig out which is kind of like ridiculous. Overall, the food was very good that we highly recommend it. There's a lot of Chinese style restaurants. We do recommend pretty much even though we didn't go to any of the others, we recommended them all look very good from the menus we saw. They also have a very large Asian grocery store there and you'll see some of the same fruit and produce that you'll see at the local grocery store, but in most cases it's much better than you'll find in the local grocery store. Really recommend it.

A very disappointing Chinatown because business hours vary from shop to shop, and I wouldn't call this place a Chinatown but an Asian center with groceries stores, a bakery, boba tea shops, and a few restaurants (Chinese, Vietnamese, and Fusion). East Garden serves dim sum all day.

Enormous selection of foods from across Asia. Loads of fresh produce and a big selection of live fish and shellfish for the freshest-possible seafood.
