Sign in to reviewCorinne is so considerate and awesome, she took her time with me and made sure i was comfortable during the entire appointment and ensured i was happy with my haircut/style :) 1000% will be coming back.
Got some layers on my curly hair with Corinne and loved the whole experience! She has a very genuine energy and loved how smoothly the conversation went, plus my hair feels so soft now! Honestly, it almost felt therapeutic! Glad I found this place.
Spent $400 on half highlights and specifically asked for no gold/brassiness, showing photos of my usual creamy blonde. The owner (Corinne) insisted a little gold was fine and that most clients “freak out” unnecessarily at the mention of gold — then proceeded to give me exactly that. I left with a harsh yellow-gold blonde I’ve never had in my life. I returned a week later for a toner, which only slightly improved the color and faded back to yellow within three weeks. I was told it was due to prior stylist damage (though I’ve never had an issue with the stylist I’ve had for 5+ years), mineral build-up, or “California water.” If that were true, I would have walked in with yellow hair — which I absolutely did not. Multiple other stylists told me the work was so poor that I should request a full refund. After days of back-and-forth, I requested a partial — since I had to pay another stylist $200 to fix it. Instead, they offered a third visit at my expense and refused even a partial refund. The stylist even sent me photos of my hair after the dye job, claiming the orange/gold tone was due to my “natural hair changing color” — something no other stylist has ever suggested, and which she mentioned only after I requested a refund. Also — why was it orange / gold if the foils had been done properly? No blonde job should be that color if done correctly. It was pretty clear she gave me gold and was unable to fix it by toner alone (which would have been impossible to do) but rather than admitting she messed up, she blamed my hair quality and came up with every creative excuse under the sun to avoid accountability. Whether just super transactional or financially desperate, the gaslighting and minimization to avoid refunding a blatantly bad $400 job is unacceptable. The new stylist corrected it easily with fresh foils, proving the issue was poor technique, not my hair. I’m now out $600+ for what should have been basic blonde highlights — poor work, bad excuses, and zero accountability. Super embarrassing that not only are they ok with this level of poor workmanship but that they are ok with openly scamming clients like this. Worst salon experience ever. ****UPDATE 4/17 As a follow up to my prior review (9 months later) - the total damage bill to my hair after is now excessive. Given the two additional corrections that had to be done within two weeks, my once healthy hair is destroyed. Between the cost of foil corrections, cuts to remediate the breakage, expensive shower filters to avoid further damage to my damaged hair, keratin and olaplex treatments, this incident has severely impacted me financially. Not to mention the upset of looking in the mirror the last almost year and hating what I saw. I refrained from putting photographic evidence of the damage prior but after seeing the response below from the owner you can see, the difference between my hair color prior to the salon (left pic) and what I left with (right pic after Corinne’s “correction”) is totally different. It’s disgusting the owner would refuse even a partial refund or avoided any kind of accountability when it is so blatantly obvious what happened.
I have been following Megan as my stylist for over a year now. Her skills, attention to detail and conversations are what has made me a loyal client of hers. She's seen me from a high fade to a mullet with extensions and every service she has knocked it out of the park. She will not stop until she is happy with her own work, and the quality shows. Megan is an all-in-one stop for both men and woman, I couldn't recommend seeing this gorgeous being more.
I had a great experience here! The stylist really listened to what I wanted and my hair feels healthier than ever. Can’t wait to come back for my next cut!
