Parkland Family Dentistry

Parkland Family Dentistry is an exceptional dental clinic. My dentist Dr. Bahia is kind, funny, compassionate and a very skilled dentist. She has dealt with a variety of dental issues that have afflicted my “ teeth from hell” (I can’t even hold a can of CocaCola without getting a cavity-no need to drink it!!!). The front and back office staff are personable, kind and very competent. The office runs on time and I am almost seen within 5 minutes of my scheduled appointment time. Cost of services are very reasonable and patients are always given info about the cost of each service, how much your insurance should cover and how much the patient will be responsible for (so no surprises!!). There is a modest discount if you pay your portion of the bill at the time of your visit. I drive 150 miles to see Dr. Bahia-she is well worth the drive.

I love PFD. The ladies at the front desk are always so helpful and kind. My hygienists take great care of my teeth and always are there to offer solid advice with zero judgement. Both dentist I’ve worked with are great too. I was referred by a family member during the pandemic and have been very happy here.

It had been awhile since my last dentist visit and I knew I would be needing further treatments. The staff was so kind and I felt zero guilt about my current state of my teeth (I've definitely had providers that made me feel bad before!). My hygienist, Liz, talked through everything as she did it which was gentle assurance I didn't know I needed but was so comforting. At the front desk, Brenda explained costs with transparency and I appreciated the details. I am so happy I finally made an appointment and chose Parkland Family Dentistry to start my journey of taking better care of my teeth! I would heartily recommend this office to anyone who is feeling wary or scared or just wants a friendly, calm environment!

After 5 years of avoiding the dentist despite having dental insurance, I ended up dealing with a dentist who charged me almost $1,000 out of pocket without actually providing the treatment I went to them for. So I decided to really put effort into finding a new dentist who would actually treat my issues without price gouging my pockets. I initially found this location from the Delta Dental network search. Then I looked at their website and checked out their reviews, which influenced my decision to go with them. I was given an appointment within days of contacting them, and when I got there I was seen within 10 minutes of my arrival. The receptionist and most of the employees (especially Carly, Ronnie, and Kim) I encountered here were pleasant to interact with. The bill was very transparent, seems reasonable for the work, and they give you the breakdown of what your insurance pays versus what you pay. Which btw, if you do not have insurance you will have to pay upfront. The dentist I saw was Dr. Norman, who has a very relaxing voice and calming demeanor. This is significant because I am usually adverse to dealing with male providers of any nature, but I am glad I took a chance and that he did my dental work. The woman assisting him was Savannah* (unsure of spelling), who is very funny and also has a wonderful energy about herself. I have since seen them twice for a filling (that Dr. Norman was able to prevent from being a root canal as well) and a root canal. Both experiences were great, with the procedures being mostly pain-free. They both made sure to check periodically on my condition, spoke to me in a manner that did not feel condescending, and Savannah answered all of the questions I had about dentistry. They even offered a blanket to make the experience more comfortable. One huge thing that I don't think most pay attention to when they are receiving treatment is how the dentist interacts with their employees. Savannah and Dr. Norman had great banter and she seemed to be very relaxed in his presence, which stood out because the last dentist I had did not have that rapport with their assistant, at least from my observations. With this last dentist the assistant seemed like she was walking on eggshells and the energy did not feel good at all, so much so that I physically did not feel comfortable being there. Going to Parkland Family Dentistry felt more like a friendly outing than the typical dental experience and none of the horrors I imagined would happened were even close to occurring. I will be going in for the post root canal crown and a cleaning, so I will update then, but as of now I highly recommended this establishment!

Always a great experience here. With the anxiety I’ve always had with dental care, coming here for the last 5 plus years has got my anxiety from a 10 to a one! From the kind front staff to the clinic staff in the back, I’m always at ease. Dr Norman and Jillian have been amazing
