Penzey’s is a home cook’s dream! The staff is incredible, knowledgeable, and kind. They made excellent suggestions based on what else I had in my basket. Their products are very high quality as well. There are sample jars for every spice, herb, and blend, so you can smell them all. I’m so glad I stopped in!
The 1 star is for their products, which are very good. Unlike many, I have no problem with them taking a political stand and agreed with what they wrote. My issue is if you buy from their website, the smaller your order the more you’ll pay for S&H. My total was around $27, so if I had bought, which I didn’t, this would have added $8.95. $8.95!! This is extreme and says to me, screw you little guy! I guess their politics stop at their profit margin. They are not the only company offering quality herbs and spices but they are certainly the only one, or one of a very few, charging this much for smaller orders. If this is okay with you, cool and the gang. Otherwise, shop around is my advice.
The people there are incredibly nice and helpful. The spices are awesome I would definitely recommend this place to people that like to cook. Also they have a really great sales!!!! High quality seasoning
Penzeys has been my go to spice store since it first opened. If I am not near a Penzeys I order on line. All the other brands of spices will never match Penzeys spices when it comes to quality, taste, and price. I love opening the sample spice jars and inhaling the spices from around the world. Just don't breathe too deeply of the jalapeno ground spice!!!!!! Whew, it cleared up all my sinuses!!!!!
