Sign in to reviewEverything was so cute!! and the drinks were delicious. and the service is unmatched. just like all of the other reviews here - this is a must! we got 3 different drinks. the strawberry matcha, the ca phe sua da and then the coconut esque (?) one. all 3 were amazing with the ca phe sua da being the best. the service was amazing and they have you test the drink to see if you like it before you pay which is something i’ve never experienced before. it was clean and the decor was so cute. when I go back to the west coast I will definitely go back!
It’s a really nice place to hang out, especially if you’re planning to spend some time there. When we went, there was a long line and it took about 15 minutes, but it was definitely worth the wait. The food was really good, and this time I decided to try two different coffees. I meant to order one hot and one cold, but ended up with both cold—still a good choice. I’m not usually a sweet coffee person, but I tried the lavender latte. It was good, though a little sweet for my taste. My black coffee (Americano) was perfect and exactly what I enjoy. I also had a cookie, which I loved—it was soft, crumbly, and had a really nice texture. Overall, a great spot to relax and enjoy good coffee and food. ☕️🍪
It was an unique experience to get a coffee today at this place. There was a long line to wait to get inside the cafe and. I think I waited close to 20 minutes in line. Ordered my coffee with barista, he was great at my coffee, after receiving my coffee then I got to cashier and paid for it. It was all done in timely manner though. Place is super busy yet cleaned. They’ve got so much variety to choose from. Great Christmas decorations, plenty of seating area, inside and outside. Highly recommend this place.
I can’t believe this coffee shop was so close by. I used to visit the Mexican restaurant next door often years ago. Nice to be back on Main Street again because these drinks were delicious. Love that you get to taste before buying, kinda like Philz Coffee but better. Banana coffee was so good that I didn’t realize it was gone so fast. Blueberry matcha was good, different but still enjoyable. I was able to get my drinks with oat milk, which was nice. Paid around $12 and some change for both. It’s pretty roomy inside for studying, working, etc., and there’s enough seating on the patio as well. Friendly servers too.
4.7/5 ### Phin Smith in Garden Grove – Coconut & Avocado Smoothie Coffee Steals the Show Nestled in the heart of Garden Grove, Phin Smith is a gem for anyone craving a fresh spin on Vietnamese coffee. I stopped by last Saturday morning, drawn by buzz about their Coconut and Avocado Smoothie Coffee, and let me tell you—this drink is a game-changer. The shop itself exudes a warm, inviting vibe with its minimalist decor, colorful murals, and the rich aroma of freshly brewed coffee wafting through the air. The staff was all smiles, quick to take my order, and even tossed in a suggestion to add an extra splash of coconut milk for that tropical punch. This smoothie coffee is pure magic in a cup. The bold, nutty Vietnamese coffee base holds its own, delivering that classic caffeine kick, while the avocado blends in for a velvety, almost dessert-like creaminess that’s surprisingly light. The coconut milk ties it together with a natural sweetness that doesn’t overpower—think beach vacation in liquid form. I got the medium ($6.50, a steal), and it was perfectly chilled, refreshing, and kept me satisfied for hours. No grainy texture, no overly sweet aftertaste—just a harmonious blend of flavors. On the flip side, the place was packed, and my order took about 12 minutes during the morning rush. Also, the menu could be clearer on portion sizes; I had to ask for details. But these are minor gripes when the drink is this good. Phin Smith nails the balance of innovation and tradition, making it a must-visit for coffee lovers in Garden Grove. I’m already planning my next trip to pair this with their banh mi. Solid 4.6/5—nearly perfect, and I’m hooked!
