Pho King Noodle Bar

Pho King is King! I challenge anybody to find a better place for Pho! I've been here 8 times now and each time the Pho broth was consistent and flavorful! The egg rolls are just okay but honestly the Pho is so good that I can overlook the rolls being average. The service isn't really there because once you get your food you don't really get served anymore and you even have to refill your own water but again the Pho is so good this is not a factor! The wife and I as well as co workers seek out Pho places to try and the place puts all others to Pho King shame!

Stop by here on a late Saturday night, we were seated right away with no wait. There's a designated lot for parking. The inside is small but plenty of tables. Pho hits differently when you're starving and it's late so this was a perfect occasion to get some. You can order at the counter and the food will be brought to you. We all opted for the pho dac biet/special. Come with brisket, meatballs, filet mignon, and fatty brisket. I prefer my beef on the side so it's medium rare. Good portion but upon tasting the broth, I found it to be bland from what I would like for pho. The pho noodles got soggy very quickly. Overall, this is a good spot for something late at night but not what I was expecting.

I came here last night before closing and had a wonderful conversation with who I believe was the owner. The environment was amazing and the workers are very attentive of their customers. I always enjoy trying new Vietnamese spots over Houston, and this spot is for sure winning top pho broths in Houston! Just very delicious overall and make sure to not skip out on their eggrolls (:

Idk what I was expecting but it wasn’t what I thought. I ordered online and upon arrival, was told “there’s no one with that name” very rudely. I insisted they look at my order confirmation and they very half heartedly looked, said ok, then walked off. The waitress I guess just said “give us 5 minutes”, which was good but it’s a restaurant not a drive thru, so that already tells you what kind of quality to expect. All the young employees were pretty much just sitting, chatting, complaining about having to work. Then I get my food, and everything is lukewarm and disappointing. I had to ask them to heat it up and it was really uncomfortable. Then the worst part was probably the pho noodles. They were just not right. I even took my food home and boiled them even more, thinking maybe it’s my fault. No matter how long I boiled them they were still hard.. Mind you I paid $20 for the pho & 2 fried egg rolls. The ambience wasn’t that great either, it just felt very unwelcoming and inauthentic. I even heard they have roaches from another review. No judgement, just please be more welcoming and check for better quality overall.

The first time I ordered was through Uber Eats and I was really impressed. I got two bowls of the vegan pho with tofu and all the onions and herbs, vegetarian egg rolls, and vegetarian dumplings. The broth was very flavorful and the portion size was perfect. I really enjoyed the egg rolls and really appreciate that they make a vegan sauce to go with it. Husband and I liked it so much we returned 2 days later to try it in person and it was even better... especially the appetizers since we were able to eat it fresh. We arrived at 8:30pm and were the last people to be served. One group arriving 10 minutes later were turned away. I've learned from previous experience that kitchens around Houston usually close 15-30 minutes before the listed closing time so it's best to not get there too late. This is our new go to spot! We were going to another one down the street regularly but have been let down a number of times with the inconsistency and for adding vegetarian egg rolls to the menu but never having it available.
