A great selection of fresh food and meals available here while staying in Houston. The salad bar had a plenty of choices and the ready made meals made lunch for a group easy - you can eat in the designated areas next to the grocery area or walk to Discovery Green and have a picnic.

What an experience! I'm thankful for the free parking. It was like a whole little world in there - there were at least 7 different kinds of hummus, a row of different pita beads, a huge salad bar, olives of all kinds, shawarma, cheese WHEELS...I could have cried. And then there's a whole section in the front where you can eat your food. Loved it. Will return and make it a habit.

I came here looking for kataifi to make Dubai-style chocolate chip cookies. Back when I lived in Chicago, I had easy access to grocery stores that carried Eastern European and Mediterranean ingredients, so I wasn't sure where to find it here. I didn't initially think of Phoenicia because the location I'm familiar with is all the way on the west side. Then my friend who lives at One Park Place said that Phoenicia is literally on the first floor of her building. I visited her and we did some shopping. I was happy to find the dry shredded dough on the second floor. I usually buy the frozen kind and cut it to the length I want, so it was great to see this as an option though more expensive! This location is much smaller than the one on the west side. I also checked out the bakery. It's nice and well-stocked, though I found the cakes to be on the pricey side. I picked up a couple mini 4-inch Christmas log cake for about $13, and it was extremely sweet--almost too sweet for my taste. Overall, the location is very convenient, with free parking, and they offer a solid selection of Mediterranean staples. I didn't try their hummus or baba ganoush this time, but I'd definitely consider it on a future visit.

We ate breakfast at the MKT Bar this morning. The food was great. We had an assortment of breakfast items and brunch items. I especially loved the brussel sprouts. The coffee was strong and freshly brewed each cup. Service was slower than I would have expected with small amount of patrons at the time, and the food temperature was cooler than I expected, but the taste was delicious. We would be back when we are in town again. Would love to enjoy one of their happy hours. Do not miss out on shopping in the market. Their assortment of items is phenomenal. The prepared foods are absolutely delicious. You can purchase prepared items and eat right there at their tables and chairs. There is also limited outdoor seating.
