Sign in to reviewI got my hair done yesterday by Karen and she did such an amazing job. I don't get my hair done often and I am super particular about how I like my highlights. she was super accomadating and listened to what I had in mind.. Plus she made me feel very comfortable and made my hair look better than I imagined!! The products she used smelled amazing and really made my hair feel like new again. The salon itself is cute and clean and well kept and with great interior design. All around great place and would highly recommend getting an appointment with Karen.. I will definitely be seeing her again!
I feel a little bad about leaving this review, because this salon was able to fit me in last-minute before upcoming travel. But when I went to a different salon to ask about fixing the cut I got here, and the owner showed me a photo of the back of my hair, I was upset enough to leave feedback. I walked into Phoenix Rising with hair styled exactly how I wanted it already (just longer than I wanted), showed Rachel a picture of a similar layered style, and asked for 4" off. Leaving the salon, I did not have anything like my previous layers, which had an elegant tapered look; this is an uneven blunt cut with a bit of feathering. I like to let stylists use whatever product they want, because sometimes I find new interesting things that way. This time, I walked out with so much perfumed gunk in my hair that I knew I'd be distracted at my next work meeting, and had to race home to wash it out beforehand (one of the products I didn't love the smell of and can still smell faintly now after two attempts to wash it out). When I see bad reviews for hair salons, I always assume it's in part because the customers are bad at communicating. I'm sure I miscommunicated here, but I haven't had a bad haircut in 12 years, and I don't think I've ever had one this obviously uneven. Everyone has bad days, and I have friends who've gotten great haircuts from this salon in the past, but I probably won't be coming back.
Had to review this Salon. Jasmin is absolutely amazing. I went in to get my hair bleached and toned to silver from a pretty dark brown almost black. In two sessions, we got to the color I wanted. Throughout the entire process, Jasmin was engaging, personable, and followed up with after hair care. Responsive and knowledgeable, I have found my new stylist! Thank you Jasmin!!!!
People are nice and it is such a shame to write this, but I must be honest, I’m very upset with my services. I went to this salon, booked a couple days in advance, assuming the time of my appointment would be respected. I asked for sun-kissed baby-lights, I got them before somewhere else and loved the result. They held on for years and always looked so natural so I went for it again. I remember taking a long time at the salon when I got them, they waited at least 30 mins for the color to properly “stick” (don’t know the term). The girl waited only 15 mins and took it off cause she had another customer waiting on her, she had double booked us, so I could tell she was in a rush. Of course under the light it looked like there was “some” color so I thought maybe it would change with washes or outside. I was also supposed to get a haircut and it was the most rushed and half done cut I’ve ever gotten. Almost a month later and I am SO UPSET at the results. Since the girl needed to go to the other customer, I was too nice to say something. Tought maybe it would look different, it’s terrible. I pointed out the hairstyle I was going for and instead I just have the most boring, straight cut with no shape whatsoever. THE QUALITY OF THE COLOR DYE IS TERRIBLE, I consulted with a professional hairstylist friend who lives abroad, and he pointed out that it seemed like supermarket dye when you try to dye your hair blonde and it turns into this “orangy blonde”. IT LOOKS TERRIBLE! So, I wasted my money basically on this terrible makeover , which I am still so unhappy with and looks cheap. This is a first time for me cause I had never had a bad salon experience and I just happened to have it in this salon. Again, a shame cause the girl was very sweet, but I think very irresponsible, cause it must have had to do that she was double booked and rushing. ALSO, invest in good products!!!
This is a quiet but great atmosphere spot!! My sister Atheena is my personal stylist and she is the best!! She listen to what kind of service you want and does a great job in getting it done perfectly!! Atheena is awesome!! I guarantee you if you pick her as your stylist....you won't regret it!!!!
