Sign in to reviewToday was a rough day. Why not go for a soak? Cool, let’s go. Oh, the hot tub is not as hot as normal. Maybe it’ll heat up? 20 minutes and nothing. So I call. He checks the temps and tell me the system tells him otherwise. Cool, my body wouldn’t know the difference so let’s take the systems word. Another ten minutes and it’s still the same temp. Why am I here? So I leave. Why argue with the system when my body knows the shit ain’t 104. Oh well. First and last time for that experience. Cut it short since the system said otherwise.
If you’re looking for an exceptional massage therapist, Kaitlin is the one to see. I’ve had many massages over the years, and she is the only person who compares is my mom (who is also a massage therapist). Kaitlin has an incredible understanding of the human body that many do not. She is always caring, attentive, and kind, and I leave every session feeling like a completely new person. For anyone who prefers deep pressure and truly effective muscle work, she is amazing. Her approach isn’t just about applying pressure for the sake of a “deep tissue” or “sports massage”—she knows exactly how to target the muscles that need attention without overdoing it. I could go on, but truly—if you want a thoughtful, skilled, and deeply effective massage, go see Kaitlin.
I booked an appointment well in advance, specifically clearing my schedule for what was supposed to be a relaxing visit. When I arrived on time, I was told there was a "scheduling error" and that they couldn't fit me in. What made the situation even worse was the staff’s complete lack of accountability. They didn't apologize for the inconvenience, nor did they offer any kind of solution or compensation to make up for their mistake. They didn't even offer a discount for a future visit or try to accommodate me at a different time. If you value your time, I would strongly suggest going elsewhere. It is clear that this place has zero regard for their clients’ bookings or professional courtesy. I won't be returning.
Primary purpose of this review is a huge shout out to masseur David Righton, who gave me one of the best massages ever. A sure, gentle touch with plenty of careful power to apply when needed. I've not been in for some time due to health issues. The spa amenities seem have slid a bit since the pandemic (e.g. bathrobes are no longer provided for patrons booking tub or steam/sauna before their massage), but otherwise still a lovely community resource for health and relaxation.
Piedmont Springs is a great spot for hot tubbing and relaxation. The rooms are spacious and private, which makes it easy to fully unwind without feeling rushed or crowded. Calm, comfortable, and well set up for a relaxing experience. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a quiet place to decompress.
