It was a nice drive from NOLA to BTR, that went well. Lol. I tried to call PRIOR to making the 80.8 mile drive to the facility to ensure 1) the vehicle was still in place 2) inquire of the condition 3) make sure they would be open Memorial Day. Well the answer to the 3rd question was resolved by the website. questions is 1 and 2 remained unanswered. Soooooo in spite of it all I took a chance and made the drive. After all, it was Memorial Day, BTR is not a bad drive and I was interested to see what the outcome would be. I will say this is a great idea. Whoever came up with. It is a great idea. You basically go on the website. See if the vehicle is in place, head on over and you remove the part yourself. There is a $2 admission cost, but if you sign up for the free VIP membership, there's a reduced price. And as a VIP member, your privyy to all sorts of deals that they send you via email or sms messaging. They provide you with wheelbarrows in the event that you have a heavy load to carry. But other than that, this is a DIY and it's best. So bring your OWN TOOLS!!!! Rows and rows of cars. Just imagine a vast wasteland of vehicles, but in a semi ordered fashion. In designated row and even particular spaces ie C304. All are ready to be taken a part as one needs. What I saw on the website versus what I saw in person we're starkly different. It was the Amazon vs Wish version of items. I must admit the vehicle that I was looking at it been there since March 2026 and this is the end of May 2026. So understandably things would be different. But my goodness, there was barely anything left of the vehicle. For your convenience, there's a handwashing station as you exit the yard. I found this to be beneficial, those junked cars are full of grease, grime & stagnant water from the rain. Also, in addition to being able to remove parts there is an area near the front door where they also sell other things. I guess things that they found in the cars, i.e. shoes, purses, etc.. Annnndddd I also found that they sell batteries and used tires. And they even have cars for sale. I did leave with a piece for my car, but not the ones I came for. So the trip wasn't a TOTAL BUST. I would return, maybe not to this particular location as there is one closer to my home, but I do like the idea of being able to find parts for the low-low. And I would also bring a person that is mechanically inclined to help with disassembly of the vehicle part that you need. I found the employees to be pleasant. Not very helpful, there was a sale going on and had I not mentioned it, the cashier was not going to share that information; HOW RUDE... Lol As I left, I heard in my Spirit, one man's trash is another man's treasure. This place truly embodies that adage.
Be prepared to walk. Found some of the items needed. Bring something to drink & tools. Great prices. Saved us alot of money.
I have been coming to this place for years, always a great selection, tons of cars stocked, they most likely have what you need. Over the years the updated website with pictures and discriptions has been a great help to save time and long uneeded trips. Recently I found some interesting picks and had to spend extensive time here. Staff is super helpful, very friendly, and unlike some places that dont work, they keep this place rolling Iike clockwork. Awesome yard, good prices, staff on point, keep it up yall. I'll be back.
Not happy with the dispatch team! I had scheduled them to pick up my car yesterday but nobody called saying they’re on there way then today they said the same thing that I’m on the list for today….still nobody came around. Might just bite the bullet and rent a dolly to go somewhere else! Jesus Christ it’s like why tell me you’re gonna pick it up and give no updates.
Staff were really friendly and parts were easily accessible. Thank you Danielle and the gentleman right next to here.
