REDWHITE BONELESS RAMEN is a ramen restaurant at 294 Newbury St in Boston, MA, serving an entirely vegetarian menu with vegan ramen options and several gluten-free choices. For diners looking for plant-based Japanese-inspired comfort food in Boston, it offers a focused alternative to restaurants where vegetarian dishes are limited to a side or two. Customer feedback describes the setting as casual and relaxed, with a chill atmosphere and counter ordering. The restaurant has a 4.5-star rating across 2,131 reviews, giving local diners a useful snapshot of others’ experiences.
Ramen is the main draw, and customer reviews describe a range of broth choices, with roughly six options mentioned by one diner. Favorites people call out include miso, red hot miso, spicy miso, yuzu sesame, and curry. The broths are a point of difference for guests choosing between a familiar savory bowl and something with more spice or a distinct sesame-citrus character. One reviewer especially enjoyed the yuzu sesame broth, while another found the curry ramen rich, balanced, and filling. Tofu is also mentioned as a satisfying source of protein in a ramen bowl.
The menu extends beyond ramen to rolls, including a roasted miso avocado roll that one guest remembered as a standout. Opinions on the rolls vary: some reviewers enjoyed them, while another did not care for the rolls they tried. That mixed feedback makes the ramen the clearest place to start, while the rolls can be an appealing addition for guests who want to explore more of the menu. Portions are described as generous, so arriving hungry may be a good idea, especially when ordering a full bowl and a side.
Because the menu is fully vegetarian and offers vegan choices, REDWHITE BONELESS RAMEN can work well for vegetarians, vegans, and groups with different eating habits. One reviewer brought a non-vegan friend who also enjoyed the meal, suggesting that the menu can appeal beyond guests who specifically seek plant-based food. Several gluten-free options are noted by customers, including a diner with celiac disease who found those choices helpful. If you have celiac disease, a food allergy, or another strict dietary requirement, contact the restaurant directly to confirm ingredients and preparation practices before ordering.
Located on Newbury Street, REDWHITE BONELESS RAMEN is a practical option for a casual ramen meal in Boston when you want plant-based choices, customizable-feeling broth variety, and a relaxed counter-service setting. Consider trying a miso or curry bowl, or choose yuzu sesame if you prefer the flavor noted by one reviewer; the roasted miso avocado roll is another customer-mentioned option. Experiences with individual dishes can differ, but reviews consistently point to vegetarian ramen, filling portions, and an easygoing visit as reasons to stop by. Excellent place!! It's a very casual restaurant with chill vibes, order at counter service. It's fully vegetarian restaurant and can cater to gluten free options which was helpful as someone with celiac disease. There are about 6 or so ramen broth options, and I've tried the miso and red hot miso. Broth was so savory and delicious. Gluten free version comes with rice noodles and without the fried toppings (fried onions). I ate from here 3 times during my 5 day Boston trip. I also brought along a bunch of carnivores and they also really enjoyed the dishes, and were interested in returning. Excellent food, and wish there was a location close to me in Houston. Look forward to going back on future trips!
Hands down the best vegan ramen I’ve had to date. This is coming from someone who’s had vegan ramen in both Austin and Chicago. We even invited our non-vegan friend and they enjoyed their food too! Also I won’t be forgetting about the roasted miso avocado roll anytime soon!
As a vegetarian, the ramen here is a great option. Large portions matchinge the price. Had the spicy miso and yuzu sesame broth. Enjoyed the yuzu sesame broth more. Also tried 3 different types of rolls- didn't enjoy them.
They have the best vegetarian ramen! I had the curry flavored ramen and it tasted just right! Has tofu too, so you don't need to worry about not getting protien! The broth just felt so rich and filling. Their rolls are delicious too! Overall come with a big appetite and the food will be sure to fill you up!
