Because Republic Services Alameda County operates in the everyday logistics of waste collection, the most important details for customers are usually timing, bin handling, pickup completion, and follow-through on reported issues. Customer reviews mention household trash bins, blue recycling bins, commercial dumpsters, and construction-project contexts around Fremont. These are practical, high-stakes services: a missed pickup can affect home cleanliness, job-site flow, tenant satisfaction, or a small business's daily operations. If you rely on this waste management service, it may help to keep service dates, bin placement, account notes, and call records organized so any concern can be explained clearly.

The public feedback currently reflects a low rating of 1.7 from 234 reviews, so expectations should be realistic. Several reviewers describe missed pickups, bins left partially full, delays in promised return pickups, problems with recycle-bin handling, and repeated calls to customer service. This does not mean every account will have the same experience, but it is useful context for anyone in Fremont, CA comparing waste management options or trying to understand common pain points. A careful approach—confirming schedules, documenting missed service, and following up promptly—can make communication easier when service does not match expectations.

For local households and organizations, Republic Services Alameda County is best viewed as a necessary operations provider rather than a destination-style business. The atmosphere is practical, service-oriented, and administrative, centered on route performance, customer support, and coordination with collection crews. It may be especially relevant for Fremont residents, commercial property contacts, construction managers, and office teams who need to verify waste collection details, recycling-bin service, or dumpster-related issues tied to this provider.

When researching Republic Services Alameda County through local directories, look for practical, verifiable details rather than broad claims: the Fremont address, weekday hours, service category, public rating, and customer-reported issues. That grounded view is helpful for people deciding whether to contact the office, escalate a missed pickup, or document an existing trash or recycling concern.

With years managing construction projects, I’ve never experience such incompetence from a business. I’ve worked with multiple providers and never had such a horrible experience. The city of Fremont states we have to use republic so we’re forced to work with them but never will I have them on my projects outside of permitted Fremont work. I’ve called multiple times to schedule to empty and no one shows up. Ive provided location, made sure it’s accessible, onsite contact. Just the simple fact of letting us know as the customer hey we’re not going to be able to make it today but you’re on the schedule for tomorrow would suffice but you will never hear from them unless you call. Of course they’re never late for billing for a dumpster I can’t use because it’s full. I will also be reporting to the city of Fremont as their vendor they should be aware of the issues.

Trash company or scam operation? Republic Services needs to GO. In Fremont, they’ve left my trash bin half full two weeks in a row. I called twice last week, and they promised a pickup. They lied. No one came. This week? Same crap. Bin half full again. Extra bags from last week still rotting. Called again today—THEY HUNG UP ON ME. Not once. Just called again and agent Bacia hung up on me again after I asked for a supervisor. That would 7 times this week. This is not a mistake. This is a pattern. Fellow Alameda County residents: it’s time to raise hell. Contact your city officials. Flood them with complaints. Demand they terminate Republic’s contract and find a provider that actually gives a damn. Post your reviews. Spread the word. Trash deserves to be collected. Republic deserves to be fired. Update - trash is still there on the street Republic Services fails to do their job and respond to requests. Added more photos. Submitted complained to the City of Fremont. called the 5 times. The lady called Steele told me my case number is 214094239. They still do nothing. Republic Services needs should be fired.

In my 20 plus years of management I have never come across a more incompetent commercial garbage service. Just in the last 90 days I think I have called 15+ times to report missed pickups. They rarely make things right by picking up the same day the pickup was missed resulting in the dumpsters overflowing and have to spend man hours cleaning up after their incompetence. I have requested that a manager or supervisor give me a call numerous times. I have never received a call. They are really good at phone apologies and grossly incompetent at fixing the issues.

Screenshot: Notice the original position of our blue recycle bin. Video: This was how my neighbor's and mine were pickup and swapped (my bin is the larger one) Both screenshot and video have date/time stamps on the left upper corner. If 18" space is mandated between bins, please train the employees to put the bins back as they are. Leaving the bins all over the place after pickup is not acceptable. Not only is our driveway blocked, but the street is also blocked. All because of the convenience of an employee on a job. SMH.

I disposed of the trash on Thursday 05/01/2025 and it was picked up by my neighbors on Friday, but they skipped mine. Customer service lied to me, saying they would pick it up the same day until 7:00 PM, but they had already skipped mine. I called back on Friday, Monday , Tuesday and was apologetic. The driver's trucks will be picking up my trash until 7 pm, and I am feeling frustrated and won't be calling again. I am feeling upset and frustrated because my trash is very full. Although I paid too much monthly, the service was not satisfactory at all. I hope they don't skip again. And the truck driver needs to pay attention.
