Ky helped me select an amazing 5X Atwood hat and then walked me through every step of customizing it. ​He helped me choose a custom hatband and stampede straps, and the hat-shaping process was second to none. Ky constantly checked and adjusted the shape to ensure it matched both my specific head shape and exact preferences. Throughout the entire process, he clearly explained what he was doing and why, and he took the time to teach me proper care and maintenance so the hat will last for years to come. ​Ky is a true professional—knowledgeable, patient, and an absolute pleasure to work with. Rockmount is more than a store; it is a staple of Colorado’s culture and an opportunity to learn about quality product and the proper way to wear and love it. Kyle McAfee is your best friend on the sales floor—he’s knowledgeable and passionate and applies no pressure as you browse. Nick and Steve and Humble, the dog, all added to the experience, too. Be sure to check out their top-floor museum. This shop is for experts and Rocky rookies alike. A must-see.

Visiting from out of town and came to check out the store to buy some gifts for my husband and boots for myself. Sarah went above and beyond to help me get what I needed, and was patient and helpful while I decided on boots. Gretchen was lovely and checked to make sure I had what I needed. Had a great experience at the store and felt taken care of by the wonderful staff on what I know was a busy day. Can’t wait to come back next time I’m in Denver. Thank you!

Really disappointing experience in the cowboy boot department. I spent quite a while looking at boots while Sarah, who was working in that section, never acknowledged me or offered to help. I eventually went to the front counter and asked another employee if someone could help me try on a pair. They directed me back to Sarah, who then told me she was busy and that I would have to wait. There was only one other customer in the boot area at the time. At that point, I left and walked four blocks to the Ariat store, and the difference was night and day. The staff there immediately greeted me, were incredibly helpful, had a much better selection, and took the time to explain how they could steam and custom-fit the boots for me. If you’re shopping for cowboy boots, I highly recommend skipping this experience and going directly to Ariat. I was ready to buy a pair of boots and simply wanted someone to help me—and instead I was made to feel like I wasn’t worth acknowledging. On the flipside the staff at area was fantastic and they have men’s and women’s boots, as well as tons of hats, custom hat fits, and really cute clothes. Walk a few extra blocks Larimer Square and shop at a place that has great selection and treats people decently!

Kyle is an absolute legend and will be able to help with all your hat and boot needs, he had all the time in the world for us, super honest and has a huge wealth of knowledge. He just loves what he does and wants to share that with anyone that comes in. An amazing experience! Thank you Kyle!
