Rocky Mountain Automotive is an auto repair shop at 356 Norfolk St #356 in Aurora, CO, serving drivers who want a straightforward place to bring a vehicle for troubleshooting and repair. Customer feedback often highlights the team’s honest communication and practical approach: reviewers describe getting clear explanations of a vehicle’s condition, whether the news is good or bad. For people looking for a local mechanic in Aurora, that emphasis on transparency can make it easier to understand what needs attention and decide what to do next.

The experiences shared by customers include work on older vehicles, tune-ups, and other repairs. One longtime customer mentions two full bumper-to-bumper tune-ups on an older RAV4, along with additional fixes, and says the vehicle continued running at 260,000 miles. Another reviewer says the shop troubleshot a van that had been having problems before the owner moved to the area. These accounts suggest that Rocky Mountain Automotive may be a useful option for drivers seeking help with an ongoing issue or maintenance on a well-used car; the specific work needed and outcome will depend on each vehicle.

Reviews also describe the service as friendly, reasonably prompt, and fairly priced. Several customers say they have returned for years, with one reporting a 25-year relationship and another bringing cars to the shop since 2019. A recent arrival to the area appreciated being welcomed in to troubleshoot a van without an appointment. These are individual customer experiences rather than guarantees, but they offer a sense of the shop’s personal, neighborhood-oriented feel. If you are considering a visit, it is sensible to call ahead to discuss your concern, timing, and any estimate or approval process before work begins. One reviewer noted that a repair was completed before a price was discussed, so confirming expectations in advance may help avoid surprises.

Located in Aurora, Rocky Mountain Automotive is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and closed on Saturday and Sunday. Its listed rating is 4.5 out of 5 from 104 reviews. The weekday schedule and customer accounts of direct communication may suit drivers who can arrange a daytime visit and value a clear conversation about repairs. Check the shop’s current hours and contact the team before heading over, particularly if you need to arrange a drop-off or ask whether an appointment is necessary. For Aurora-area drivers comparing auto repair shops, the reviews point to a local option known by many customers for honest explanations, tune-ups, troubleshooting, and vehicle repairs.

I’ve been taking my cars here since 2019, and have never had anything less than exceptional service from Rick and his team. They are honest, reputable, and straightforward. Whether it’s bad news or good news, they always deliver absolute transparency on my vehicle’s condition. When it comes to pricing, I’ve felt they are reasonable. They’ve never tried to convince me to do unnecessary maintenance, and have honored numerous warranties on car parts that I didn’t even realize had warranties on them. Fantastic work, all around.

I've been coming here for 25 years! They take care of your car in a reasonably short period of time and ALWAYS do a great job! I've had two full bumper to bumper tune-ups on my older RAV4 and a few other fixes. My car has 260k on it and still going strong. Honest and fair prices! You won't regret bringing your vehicle here for maintenance!

I had just moved to a new area looking for a reputable mechanic. I had been having problems with my van before I even moved here Rick was so kind to have me come in without an appointment and troubleshoot it it took 2 days but I haven't had a problem since I am so grateful to have a mechanic I can trust.

Had my vehicle towed to his shop, asked him to look at it. Got a call the next day saying the vehicle was fixed and ready to pick up. They went ahead and fixed the vehicle without asking me to fix it and discussing a price. (Thankfully it was not an expensive repair) Good price and service but I will not be going back due to the lack of communication and rude attitude.
