I booked a haircut and dark brown color at what presents itself as a luxury salon. Seven hours and $400 later, I left with neither the experience nor the result that positioning implies. The most striking failure was communication. At no point did my stylist explain what he was doing or why. I sat at the shampoo bowl for 45 minutes without a word. Three Malibu treatments were applied that I hadn't discussed, and I was assured throughout that my color would come out chocolate brown. The next morning, in natural light, it was clearly red — a mistake significant enough that I paid another stylist to correct it. I gave the salon the opportunity to make this right. I sent a detailed, good-faith email describing my experience and requesting a resolution. I never received a response. At luxury prices, clients have a right to expect professionalism, transparency, and accountability. This salon delivered none of the three. Mistakes happen in this industry; refusing to stand behind your work is a choice.

I got a layer cut from Dusty and my god he’s amazing!!!!! He listens to every single word of yours with patience and does exactly what you want. He knows what he’s doing and gives suggestions too. He takes his time in understanding what you want and doesn’t rush at all. There is an insane amount of people who complimented me after my haircut! I truly recommend Dusty and Ron king salon. Absolute slay. Dusty is the best! Seriously, every time I leave his chair I feel like a brand-new person. He really listens to what you want, gives honest suggestions, and somehow makes it turn out even better than I pictured. What I especially appreciate is how much he takes the time to educate you. I honestly didn’t know much about hair care, products, or styling before going to him, but I’ve learned so much just from our appointments. He explains things in a way that’s easy to understand and actually helpful, not overwhelming. Plus the vibe is always fun and comfortable, never rushed or awkward.
