This is a long overdue review! We have hired S+S Gastro Grub Catering for my work several times for about a year and a half. Their attention to details are unmatched. The quality of their food, taste and creativity are impeccable. The cocktails by their bartenders are well balanced. The entire S+S team are always happy, friendly and professional! Our guests always enjoyed their food and services. They still talk about it even months after!! It can be slow on the communication which can be understandable since the owners, Simone & Sebastian are completely hands-on for every aspect of the planning and execution as well as physical being at all of their events. No matter how long in between our communications, they never missed any details and they go above and beyond on additional details that I didn’t think of! I can’t wait to plan my birthday celebration with them!!

The food? Absolutely divine! Each dish is a masterpiece, crafted with love and attention to detail. And let's not forget about the presentation – it's like a work of art on every plate. Simone and Sebastian did a fantastic job catering my wedding at the Brazilian Room in Berkeley, CA this past June! I primarily communicated with Simone via email and she was extremely responsive throughout the entire wedding planning process. I was constantly peppering her with questions and she was always kind and patient with me, a nervous bride, as I was trying to pull together this event for 115 people. I appreciated her flexibility as the final touches of the event were coming together. On top of her catering expertise, Simone's professionalism and knowledge as an event planner was infinitely helpful. I initially met Simone and Sebastian at a Brazilian Room open house and was able to try some of their food samples. Let's just say their samples made an impact and none of the other catering options stood a chance after that. Simone helped me with creating the menu for the night and ensuring that I had a good variety of main courses and sides to satisfy the needs of my group. We decided to skip the traditional wedding cake and instead opted for some of the fun dessert options on Simone and Sebastian's menu. The banana pudding was an absolute hit! Overall, I had such an awesome experience with Simone and Sebastian. The two of them, along with their staff, were extremely kind and professional. I finally lost count of how many people came to me during and after the wedding to rave about their food, which should tell you everything you need to know. You will not regret having Simone and Sebastian cater your event!

Simone and her team recently catered our wedding with 70 people at the Berkeley Botanical Garden and we couldn't have been happier! She crafted a perfect custom menu for us, advised on all our alcohol needs, and on the day of the food could not have been better. Delicious chicken, salmon and an incredible tofu vegetarian option. The service from all of her staff was phenomenal as well! We would recommend S+S to anyone who wants to prioritize great food at their wedding or party. 10/10!

S+S Gastro Grub catered my husband's 50th "Speakeasy" birthday party and I wish I could give them more than 5 stars! Simone's attention to detail from start to finish was outstanding. Simone handled all of the rentals, food and drinks. The food was delicious - we still have friends talking about the tomato soup shots and grilled cheese - and the staff was so friendly and professional. The bartender, Will, was a BIG hit, he made a great cocktail and was super fun! The party was so good that no one wanted to leave at the end and Simone and her staff graciously extended the party by an hour. Everything ran like clockwork and the kitchen was cleaner when they left than when they arrived. I can't recommend S+S Gastro Grub enough.
