Came here as a side quest after getting the best massage in Houston by Ben three doors down at KK Foot Massage. Saito has the most authentic pho and bun bo hue I’ve had. The pho broth is aromatic with hints of anise. Both the quantity and quality of the meat in the bowl is impressive. We got the wide noodle at $0.50 extra, but I don’t think that added to the experience. I really liked the bun bo hue, too. I didn’t finish the pork knuckle (tasted freezer burned) or the pork blood (tried it, not my jam), but the meat and the plenty of banana flower and cabbage shreds that came with it added much-appreciated crunch to the dish. There’s only one staff member servicing the whole place. She’s nice but never came by to offer water, and the table was sticky. But we had our own water, so we were not in need. Next time, I want to try their bun, ban xeo, and other Vietnamese dishes (and banh mi for $6 as well). Will definitely be back.
Overall solid choice. We've been here twice so far and tried the pho, bun bo hue, and pork & shrimp spring rolls. Everything was pretty good. The BBH was better than I was expecting. They do have fish sauce and shrimp paste available at the counter. I think this is a big plus for those ordering BBH as many newer places don't offer the latter.
First time eating here. And I've never been to their bellaire location either. the beef rib can be a little more tender. But broth is good. price is good. Service is good. And you get a Dino rib!!!! I'll definitely come back Edit: trim off silver skin on the beef rib 3.28.2026 Been here again twice in the past 2 weeks. Love it!! Got the beef rib Pho again. Also chicken Pho. And grilled chicken rice plate. All fantastic!!! I judge Pho but the broth and it's clear and tasty! Doesn't need any hoison sauce. I add their chili oil and pickled jalapeños which are so good!!! Beef rib this time is tender. Not big like the dino beef rib like before but 3 good size beef back ribs. Definitely coming back!!
We love Saito! We’ve been waiting a long time for this location to open. Our favorites are the nuoc mam wings, fried soft shell crabs and BBH. It’s always consistent, flavorful, great portions, great price and yummy. We were worried at first, but it tastes just the like the original location. As long as they don’t try to change their recipe and price, we’ll be a returning customer for sure!
