Sign in to reviewHad to get my hair done before a girl’s trip last minute. Due to my busy schedule, it’s hard to find anyone who is open late after usual business hours. I booked the appointment online and scheduled with “no preference” for 5:00pm. Let👏🏽me👏🏽tell👏🏽you. The universe delivered. I saw NaNa and Maria for balayage treatment and they recommended the Olaplex oils to help with hair when it’s bleached. (Thank you). And then Maria proceeded to perform an amazing hair wash, scalp treatment, cranial sacral maneuver idk what that was but it felt great. And then Nana when she blow dried my hair had a few recommendations and tips to allow my hair to grow fuller and look fuller as well. I didn’t come in for a cut because I’m trying to grow my hair but Nana trimmed a little for free so that my hair would look fuller. I didn’t leave until about 8:30pm and there were still people in the salon. It was the latest I’ve ever left somewhere getting my hair done but it was well worth it. Oh and I also showed her a picture of what I wanted and she matched it perfectly. PERFECTLY.
Ive gotten my haircut done by Olivia twice this year and had a pleasant experience both times. She's meticulous and attentive, checking in on how im doing and answering my questions. Even though i have a grown out balayage, she still considers the hairstyles that i desire, with slight modifications (specifically blending of the layers so its less harsh). The recent appointment took 2 hours but it was well worth it ✨️ Highly recommend
I LOVE LOVE how my hair turned out!!! Nana & her partner were amazing! She really listened to the look I was going for and she was precise & meticulous. My hair looks and feels so healthy. The appointment didn’t feel rushed and I felt relaxed throughout the process. They colored my hair really well and styled my hair beautifully. I appreciate that she taught me hair care throughout the appointment. I would definitely come back again!
Banks was my hairstylist and he was amazing!!! The other staff members were amazing too, they helped in the process. I totally recommend him for a Japanese Straightening Perm. He did such an amazing job and has a good eye for hairstyles. He was very articulate and knew what he was doing. I’m definitely going back when I’m in need of services.
I’m very disappointed to be writing this review because I have been a loyal customer at Salon Per Se for about three years, and all of my past experiences have been positive. Unfortunately, my most recent visit did not meet my expectations. I had my hair done on December 23, 2025, and I specifically requested a permanent dark purple color. During my appointment, my hairstylist relied on a translator app to communicate. I am not mentioning this to be rude, but because clear communication is important for a service like this. Despite the language barrier, I clearly stated that I wanted a permanent color. At first, everything seemed great, and I was happy with how my hair looked when I left the salon. However, within three weeks, the color began fading significantly. While I understood that a toner would be used, I was not informed that the results would be temporary or that the color would fade this quickly. I paid $430 for this service, and for that price, I expected the color to last much longer. I followed proper aftercare instructions and used color-safe products, yet the fading still happened very fast. I called the salon this morning to ask what could be done to fix this issue or what my options were. I was told by the front desk that I could come in for a toner wash, but that I would have to pay for it. Honestly, I do not think this is right, considering I already paid $430 for the service and was not informed that my hair color would be temporary. I specifically asked for a permanent color, and I feel that expectation was not met. What disappoints me most is the lack of clear communication and explanation about what to expect from the service. As a long-term client, I trusted the salon to be transparent. Because of this experience, I will unfortunately not be returning, which is upsetting after being a loyal customer for so many years. I hope this feedback helps improve communication and transparency for future clients so they can make informed decisions before committing to such an expensive service.
