Samway Market

Samway Market is one of the best stores in White Center for fresh groceries, seafood, and rare Asian food items. The Khmer owners always greet the customers. The young men, Billy and Jamie, are fantastic if you meet them during the checkout. They have good interaction with the customers. I love them. This store has a Taco truck next to it. So you can enjoy the fresh deli from the store, as well as the taco from the food truck around the corner. If you’re around the White Center area stop by and check it out.

I drove from Sammamish to Samway, located in the main commercial District of White Center because I was curious about what unique offerings it had. I'm unfamiliar with Samway in general, but it's a classic independent neighborhood grocery and mercantile. It had a quite extensive collection of cook and dishware as one would need for a commercial kitchen. It had extensive collections of urban fashion, unstructured dresses, robes, Hawaiian shirts, sun hats, sarongs, textiles and other household sundries that are hard to find. It reminded me of the old Chubby and Tubby off of Aurora, 30 years ago. It had incredible deals on meat per pound, large and healthy looking produce, very inexpensive per pound or bunch. I bought a few things that I needed and resolve to come back when needed to stock up. My only complaint is that the organization and merchandising could use help.

$0.50 cent hand rolled egg rolls! $5 bahn mi! Cold Vietnamese canned coffee for $1.59. You can get a fresh meal in here for like $8 out the door. Friendly and loving. Place is peak white center

This place is amazing! I lived in Seattle for many years and my boyfriend told me about this place. We survived by coming here for years. Fresh fruit, veggies and variety of meats. I’d go back in a heartbeat. Maybe one day I will be back.

Great place to get Asian foods, veggies and fruits. Depending on the season, can get all your fresh Asian fruits, logans, lychee, rambutan, jack fruits and even unfrozen durian. They have some non food items too, some clothes (hats, sarong, etc), limited costume jewelry, sandals, etc) Prices are really good, cheaper than some of the Asian chains. it's your typical Asian, small business. Clean, but not finished like American grocery store and somewhat smaller. They try and get a much product on the shelves, so smaller aisles. For the size of the place, there a descent variety. Owner friendly. I really like these smaller places.
